rewatching s2 rina scenes and I think I’ve somehow converted myself into the mindset of ‘ricky doesn’t have anything to apologize for since it was just a bunch of moments of two kids having very complicated feelings and not fully understanding how to handle them’

#ryn watches hsmtmts #rina #it wasnt ricky's fault and i stand by that #gina was upset because she realized it was just impossible to be rickys friend with how she felt #and ricky tried his best to keep that balance of being her friend while also struggling to keep nini in his life #yes gina cried over ricky but genuinely it wasnt because of anything he did #it was because gina just had a bunch of emotions that she was dealing with #ricky seemed to try and shield gina from anything nini shaped #it was gina who offered advice and then pulled back when ricky actively asked for advice #and she realized that the act of giving him advice on his love life was more damaging to her than she first thought #it was gina setting boundries and ricky respecting them even if they confused him #they drifted apart but they never stopped thinking about one another
