hello everyone! and welcome back to mathi's rpg maker engine ranking list that gets updated annually 95 - ive tinkered around with this one a bit more since the last time i did this and its not the worst? its WEIRD dont get me wrong but it isnt unusable 2000 - stands in the shadow of its far superior sibling 2003 - YES. xp - i dont think i hate this one as much anymore. first engine to introduce custom scripts! still kinda hate how it can use fonts that dont match the resolution which just really clashes but! its still pretty good otherwise! vx - what kind of weird love child between 2003 and xp is this. its really weird thats what. also this one started the trend of the rtp tilesets being "bad" vx ace - literally just vx but better. like seriously how many games have you seen made in vx compared to vx ace. thats right none mv - yknow, the one omori and witch's house mv were made in. this one only sticks out to me bc its on switch mz - i havent seen a single person rich enough to afford this. its like 80 fuckin bucks and is just mv with a few tweaks. also apparently the battle animations are made in 3d???? and it goes back to the 2003 battle screen style?????? i mean thats pretty cool i guess
