I’m on my third playthrough of Eternal Strands, and after two games of accidentally playing Brynn as too brash for her tastes I have finally gotten the Casmyn romance! Absolutely love it so far! In honor of this achievement, are there any Casbrynn or just general Eternal Strands headcannons that you’d like to share that you haven’t had a chance to?

YIIIPPPEEEEEE OMG I am THRILLED you're doing her romance!!! She definitely needs a softer, more vulnerable touch--if you joke with her during that first conversation after crossing the Veil, she loses it on you, lmao. I did it for fun in one of my save files and cried my apologies at the screen.

I can definitely share some headcanons!!! Here are the first ones that sprang to mind:

Brynn is basically a human furnace--always running hot, with the most ridiculous metabolism. She's been that way forever, but point attunement and training and constant expeditions have only made it more pronounced.

Her eyebrow scar? Got it when she was 13, her first time weilding a real sword (without permission--snatched it from an abandoned workshop shelter near her home). Took it into the woods, hacking at trees--overswung at one that was too sturdy to take the hit, and her blow bounced back, jolting the hilt right back into her eyebrow. Came back home bleeding and grinning (totally worth it). Mom was NOT pleased. Dad patched her up, pretending to not be pleased, but laughed with her about it later (and then taught her better and safer swinging technique with a smaller pickaxe instead).

According to the codex lore, for a weaver to become a point, they must undergo "heavy training, aided by various alchemical concoctions, to be able to sense the locus of a great creature's power. Many points fail at this critical step in their training, as it is arduous and disorienting." I headcanon that this attunement takes maintenance, too. And that the maintenance is not Brynn's favorite thing in the world--because I doubt Arran had much regard for her comfort, or even safety, when she began the process under him. She does better with Oria and Laen's encouragement, though.

Laen, observant as they unfailingly are, was absolutely beyond aware of Cas's pining over Brynn, and vice versa. They wisely chose not to address it, correctly confident that things would turn out well.

Even with her sleeping balm, Cas still doesn't sleep every night--it does help her keep a more regular schedule, maybe every other or every third night, along with when she feels like she needs it. But she does lie with Brynn for at least a few hours every night while Brynn sleeps. It's given her plenty of time to catch up on reading the heaps of books Brynn has salvaged during her expeditions.
