This this this THIS THIS!!! I've been itching to write some drabbles or draw doodles of Jean slowly rediscovering himself. Finding joy in new ways and/or reconnecting with his old passion! It makes for a fascinating little imagine of a man who truly didnt expect life to be this hard and is still finding his footing. Much slower than everyone else, sure, but that doesn't make him less worthy of a happy ending and by God I wanna give it to him even if he's kicking and screaming!!! /silly

I'M JEAN LOO POSTING AGAIN REALIZATION SPOILERS AHEAD

I don't know why I didnt think of it sooner. I was so dang butt hurt about the fact that Jean just stops talking to the player and ignores their calls that I didnt think of any other reason other than he just saw the player as a reminder of how he was originally just a toilet.

BUT THATS PROBABLY NOT IT IS IT??? The man left with dreams in his pocket, rhymes on his tongue, and the confidence to boot and ended up an accountant. His end splash art looks TIRED. He looks sad. Lost. Depressed.

And honestly. He probably feels like he failed. You knew him when he was cool, when he felt big, when he was happy and sure of himself. And right now, he feels like he's lost that spark. The spark you loved. How could he face you when he's not the man you fell in love with?

That first time and last time he did your taxes was probably awkward. Stiff. Lacked any of the energy the two of you once had and that alone was enough to convince him he wasnt worth your time anymore. All these other objects turned human know what they're doing. Made real lives. Found happiness. And have something to show for it when they come back to your doorstep to visit.

And Jean Loo probably feels like he has none of those things.

And yea maybe I'm making all this up!!! But now he's tragic and sad and I fucking love him Jean come HOME I MISS YOU PLEASE YOURE STILL THE SAME FUN SILLY GUY YOU JUST LET SOCIETY CRUSH YOUR DREAMS BUT I STILL LOVE YOU!!!!!

Idk if anyone has said it but I couldn't help but giggle a little when getting to know Winnifred in Date Everything because like....I get her character and the showing empathy for her at how she feels love for more than one person. But imagine with me. Imagine choosing the dialogue options that opposes to the idea when the player could be dating and loving a bunch of objects all at the same time.

Like her asking how I felt about it felt so silly like I'm literally making out with almost the whole house girl, I CANNOT judge.

Player character, totally not me (it's me) spending time with the datables that come to visit after but every now and then they jump at notifs or calls and always seem disappointed when it's never Jean.

Jean's phone always going off at really random hours that are from the player who felt extra lonely at 2am thinking of him and yet he never answers.

They sent texts for a while. But now they only send them when drunk and extra sad about the lack of answers they ever get from Jean. A lot of messy attempts at rap lyrics to try and get his attention the way they did back when he was still a toilet.

Sometimes it's just "I miss you. :("

More into the void ramblings from playing Date Everything but I'm running around realizing everyone that I can and Skyler made the comment of how quiet everything is starting to feel. Which man hit me a little. But more so I keep getting these flash scenes in my head.

Like...Jean Loo's probably gonna be one of the last I realize. Because I'm selfish and I don't wanna see him go yet. But I can't help but imagine that from his POV. The house is slowly getting more and more empty and eventually even the bathroom, which was once so lively, is now deafening in its silence. And the only company he has now is my player, sitting and rapping and acting like everything is fine when clearly they're dragging their feet. Avoiding the topic of realization. Taking all the time in the world as Jean has to watch everyone else get to follow dreams or ambitions or just simply LIVE. He's antsy. Impatient.

And I'm selfish.

Okay wait one more babble

Date Everything Spoilers!!! I'm not at the ending but I'm speculating/making connections as I work towards the ending

So in the game you gain the ability to turn objects through the house into humans. And the first and easiest one I did was Sinclaire, but after he becomes human he leaves... Like leave leaves. Runs off to go do his own life stuff.

Which makes sense don't get me wrong! But the player character is noted MULTIPLE times as someone who rarely leaves the house and has very few friends. And as you talk to the objects and shit, some of them add more life and more "you" into the home. Prissy adds plants, Artt adds paintings, Memoria adds all those pieces of YOU.

Only, when you eventually turn them all human, they all probably will leave too. And I just stood there over my sink that now has no object man attached to it. And his absence feeling loud in its implication.

Soon, the house will be quite.

And the player will, again, be alone.

Ill be alone again.

And knowing that after all the connections I've made with these damn cute ass object themed characters I'm just... AUGH!!!!
