Hi Elle!!!!! I'm so so sorry it's taken me this long to answer but I've been trying so hard to think of the answer.

I used to watch Batman: The animated series and Batman Beyond as a kid as well as Teen Titasn(2003) and Justice League animated.

So i had a pretty early intro to DC.

Spiderman and Batman were the two constants that I've loved always.

Honestly wasn't a big part of DC Fandom until uh 2021-22 really.

I read this fanfic called Dark Matter (ill try to link it if I find it) which was a crossover of two of my favs Spider-Man and Batfam so I was excited to read it and then it spiraled lol

Um honestly I didn't know most of the characters and just Googled them as I came across them and to this day I still have to look up characters.

Some comics I read and enjoyed were-

The Damian Robin series by Juni Ba

And some others but these are the most notable ones

Really the best way to get into the Fandom would be to let someone infodump on you

1. Oliver Queen (pulls out that one sequence of Roy roasting Bruce for not doing the dad things Ollie did with him)

2. Wally West (okay in all honesty i haven't gotten to his fatherhood arc yet but I'm expecting good things from what I've heard)

3. Roy Harper (he's not like 100% the best all the time, but he loves Lian and would never hurt her, and pulls through when she really needs him, and most of his struggles are typical single dad type things)

4. Clark Kent (idk i think he's doing pretty good with Jon)

5. Red Tornado (him and his daughter in YJ 98 my deeply beloved)

what's your dream comic like! (like who is in it what's the premise what changes would u make to the main canon etc)

OH MY GOSH THIS IS SUCH A GOOD QUESTION THANK YOU

okay so knowing me, mia is obviously going to be a main character in it (mia my BELOVED) but i wouldn't want it to be a solo. i have such a soft spot for team books (see yj '98, ntt, outsiders) and i want to see mia on a team that isn't the teen titans! ideally the cast of characters would be very similar to that young justice book that was killed by the new52 (rip, that book looked like it would've been SO GOOD). i'm picking characters based on how well i think they'd get along and also because they're my favorites lol. mia as speedy, stephanie brown as batgirl, jaime reyes as blue beetle, jackson hyde as aqualad, virgil hawkins as static, traci thirteen as herself, and m'gann m'orzz as miss martian! i want to put a speedster in there too but tbh idk who i'd choose. i'd also love to fit cass cain and mia kent/cir-el in the lineup too, but not as founding members.

it'd be a team book very similar to yj 98 in that there's a good mix between superhero-ing and them just hanging out as friends. the book would also explore their civilian lives and the duality of having both a public and a hero identity! if it occurred within main continuity, i think it'd be really fun to see them team up with the teen titans and young justice (steph + damian and mia + emiko sibling bantering <3). i'd want it to have the same feel as ntt in that there's a good balance between light-hearted and darker, more serious moments and helps establish the importance of this generation of heroes. dc won't let go of the first/second gen and this wave of heroes deserve a chance in the spotlight!

tbh i wouldn't want to change much about current continuity (mostly because i barely understand what's happening at any time) but i just really want these characters to finally have a chance to be acknowledged as permanent, capable heroes and not just exist as support for the main core. these characters also deserve to y’know, grow up and be more than teenage heroes. i just want them to be given the love and respect they deserve!
