Déjà vu.

Grian thought to himself if it can even be considered déjà vu if it happens with that frequency and consistency… Once again, they were walking together, one guiding – lead in hand –, while the other follows. The destination? Like every time before this, a desert.

While sitting on the back of a camel, Grian couldn’t help but stare at Scar’s back – to the many scars he knew the man carried under the armour; scars he could not defend Scar from, scars taken in his place, scars he made himself.

“Fragile is the word.” Grian murmured quietly, like a secret. Scar was fragile, breakable – but Scar always came back, stronger and maybe even wiser. Much like their damned bond was fragile, breakable yet here they are again.

Grian laughed to himself when they found the small piece of desert that the Watchers gave them; he shook his head. All that Grian and Scar knew how to build together were sand castles – brittle, frail… Fragile and breakable.

“Sand castles are really easy to rebuild, hum?” Grian said in a whisper and Scar smiled back a Grian – that was their little secret.

i- i’m genuinely in shock rn!!! i only really became active and a writer on this account from late last year and i would have never even thought that i would reach this following - this is a huge milestone for me and i’m so grateful i could cry
