Yep I’m in the camp that Harry and Louis’ personalities are more similar than people think too. Think people just see Harry in Gucci and Louis in a tracksuit, Louis smoking and Harry not (publicly anyway that’s not for a movie) and think yep too different. They both have quite a sarcastic sense of humour, like to joke make someone laugh and tease/call people out. Than say Zayn who was normally quite quiet in interviews.

They both obviously love HOME (duh) and family and have the same meaning of measuring success, football, where they come from, amongst others things we don’t even know about.

I hate when people use the louis is sassy excuse because Harry can be as well. Calling out peoples boyfriends on stage and whatnot. Not to mention he’s seen flipping people off too. It’s not a ‘Louis’ thing anyway there’s my ramble

they've shown so many times that they're pretty similar. and you know, even if there are differences, that is perfectly okay! not everyone has to be completely the same as their partner. it's just frustrating to me, when people frame their personalities differently, to the point that the "harry" and "louis" they talk about feel so... divorced from who they actually are.

He doesn’t let himself be distracted as the alpha walks along with him despite the slow pace, green eyes focused on him in a way that would, in any other cases, compelled him to throw a book in the alpha’s face.

He doesn’t know why he doesn’t do it and certainly doesn’t want to think about the reason, whatever it might be.

hey all!  it’s nearly the end of the year now and it’s time to finish the list of my favorite 2020 fics! (you can find part i of this rec here !) I can’t thank these authors and anyone else who published things this year enough. it’s been many long months where a distraction was much needed, and we got such amazing content for FREE. being able to escape into another world for even just a few minutes right now is priceless.

I love so many things about this ask, SO MANY great fics fit in this category, so I tried to just focus on the “being used” part (though I appreciate the door you opened for desperate, needy, humiliation, definitely some of that in these ones, too). Third installment in an OUTSTANDING series, and this one focuses on both collar AND pee kink, so I”m all about it [casts my mind over to the sideblog that got an anon this morning about what a sick fuck I am...I own it, friend!!]

Sweet Baby, jishler, E, 5.4k, Harry/Louis. The author’s notes say “baby’s first scene!” and yeah, true! Still, very sweet and tender exploration of some good old-fashioned kink discovery.

Phoenix is another one I’d say you need to read everything she’s ever written, any fandom, but for these two, she has a lot of other great fics in this category as well (see: Born to Make You Happy, Smoke Dreams from Smoke Rings, to name just two), but the amount of using here, LOVE TO SEE IT!

this group is very chill lowkey. we aren’t going to have activity checks or anything like that, but we do ask if you’re not interested anymore to let us know so we can check around to see if anyone might wanna pick up a canon you could be leaving.

we would prefer players to be 16+ because of potentially mature plots. some plots that we do not want to see on the dash are incest, racism, pedophilia, homophobia/transphobia, or anything involving graphic sexual abuse.

we would like you to have access to discord. once we have our new members, we’re going to make a discord chat that we can all chat in! we aren’t going to make it mandatory, but we highly, highly recommend having it. our goal is to make this a long-lasting mumu & we feel we need a great deal of communication to make that happen.

this is first come, first serve so if someone gets their form in before you for the character, they’ll get them! same goes for the faceclaim(s).

It helps if you’ve read @saysthemagpie ‘s AMAZING series of crackfics about “totally not gay Liam”, although they may all be in her tags.

“I wish you would talk to me.”

Harry sat on the edge of his bed, clutched hands hanging between his legs, looking up as if he was hoping to find Liam’s ghost floating near the ceiling.

The thing was, Liam’s ghost was floating there. But Liam knew Harry couldn’t actually see him. 

He opened his mouth, or the idea of his mouth, and tried to make sounds, but he still couldn’t. Niall, the ghost who lived in Harry’s attic, had told him it could take years before Liam would be able to get out so much as a spooky “OoooOOOOooo”.

Liam didn’t have years. He’d already lost years, because he’d been too stupid to realize that what he’d been brought up to believe was inconsequential and it didn’t matter that he’d only liked girls before Harry, he liked Harry now and that was all that should have mattered.

He hadn’t even gotten to say ‘I love you.’

He wanted to say it. He also genuinely wanted Harry to move on with his life, and himself to move on with his afterlife, whatever might come next, but first he wanted Harry to know.

“I really think I was getting through to you, too,” Harry continued, oblivious to Liam’s desperate thoughts. “Like I’m pretty sure I was only one or two roleplay scenario away from getting you to do it without having to pretend it wasn’t gay. But you had to go get yourself killed like… like an idiot!”

The words echoed in the room, and Harry looked down, cheeks flushed.

To be fair, it’s not like Liam had been looking to get killed. There’d been an accident on the highway and there was nothing he could have done to avoid the truck that rammed into the side of his car.

That had been six months ago. Liam still wasn’t sure exactly how long it had taken him to… come back, or whatever people would have called it. He’d found himself on Harry’s doorstep one day, acutely aware that he was dead, that he didn’t have a body anymore. There had been no question of whether this could be a dream, or a hallucination. He’d known, from the start.

He’d missed his own funeral. He didn’t know whether to be glad for that or not. He wasn’t sure he’d have wanted to see his parents cry.

He wondered if Harry had attended it.

He drifted down until he could sit - or, well, pretend to sit; that whole thing with the ethereal body was still very confusing to him - behind Harry on the bed, resting his ghostly chin on Harry’s shoulder. Harry shivered.

“I didn’t mean to get killed,” Liam said, a little mournfully, but his mouth made no sound.

“I really thought we’d end up together,” Harry said, lips curling into a sad little smile. “At first I mostly tried it because you were the fittest guy I’d ever seen, and it was a fun challenge, but…”

“I know,” Liam says, pressing a ghostly kiss to Harry’s neck. “I’m sorry I was so dense.”

It probably wouldn’t have changed a thing, Liam would still have been on that highway on that day, coming back from work. But at least he’d have gotten to spend a proper night with Harry first. Without the horse mask or the blindfold or the frilly underwear (mind you, he’d quite liked that underwear. It made him feel pretty).

He’d had the hardest time explaining things to Niall when the boy had asked him for details. “Wait, so you were… sleeping with Harry all the time, but you still didn’t realize you weren’t straight?” he’d asked, looking at Liam as if he was the most curious creature he’d seen in his life… or in his death, for that matter.

“It’s not as stupid as it sounds,” Liam had said, thinking to himself that it was probably just as stupid as it sounded.

That was another thing he’d been certain of, when he’d come back. It was like all the fluff in his brain had evaporated, like his thoughts were finally clear. At first he’d wondered why he hadn’t appeared in his own flat, so that he could haunt his roommate (he would have loved to give Louis a good scare), but then Harry had opened the door to let in a stray cat and Liam had understood.

Falling in love when you were dead was a strange and wonderful thing. Like not having a body made it that much easier for the love to spread through yourself. It had been so obvious in that moment that Liam had been unable to come up with one single reason for not having realized it earlier.

And now it was too late.

He wrapped his arms around Harry’s waist, wishing it didn’t make Harry shiver every time.

Harry slowly raised his head, and gingerly wrapped his own arms around his middle, like he was trying to lay them on top of Liam’s.

Liam’s heartbeat would have picked up, if he’d still had a heart. “Can you feel me?” he asked in his silent voice, staring at Harry’s profile for any sign that Harry could somehow hear him.

Harry’s mouth fell open, pink and soft and god Liam wished he’d kissed him more often when he had the chance.

“I wish I’d kissed you more often,” he said, pressing a kiss to the corner of Harry’s open mouth. Harry clapped his hand over it, muffling a cry. His eyes were wider than Liam had ever seen them. Liam was probably giving him the fright of his life. Maybe he should stop.

After a few seconds, Harry slowly let his hand fall from his face, breathing out. “... you’re really here, aren’t you?”

Liam beamed. Harry could feel him! Harry could feel him and Liam was so happy he could have danced.

“Warm,” Harry suddenly whispered, pressing a hand over the place where Liam’s own hand was resting, then taking it away with a gasp. Liam didn’t feel a thing, but he saw the tiny spark of electricity.

He’d have to talk to Niall about that.

Harry turned to him, blinking. Liam could see his pupils shifting focus, as if Harry was trying to figure out where he needed to stare, like Liam would suddenly appear like those hidden 3D illustrations in children’s books, the ones which you could only see by squinting at colourful patterns.

“I must be losing my mind,” Harry said, shaking his head, but his eyes kept coming back to where Liam’s face would have been, if he’d still had a face.

“You’re not,” Liam said, trying to put all his strength into the words. He could feel himself vibrating with energy, so desperate to manifest himself in the real world. “I’m really here. I’m really here and I love you. I wanted you to know that. I love you. … and I’m gay,” he added after a beat, feeling it needed to be said.

Harry blinked, once, then smiled, soft and tender. “It doesn’t count if you’re dead, Liam,” he said, and Liam’s heart felt full enough to burst.
