Honestly just realizing HOW MUCH Rhys parallels Joe in his reveal scene... his own little impromptu take on the cage, clearly enjoying the chance to be a savior to Joe the way Joe enjoys 'rescuing' his obsessions... our plan, Rhys says, clearly having fantasized about their inevitable fulfilling partnership ... They are fucked up soulmates (my greatest weakness) and while I don't expect happiness or good things to come if this I am DYING to see them kiss.
Joe doesn’t remember being obsessed with the real Rhys Montrose because he used all that knowledge to create the character in his head which makes it funny that mental Rhys is kinda judgy about the obsession (or at least the gym towel). Like that’s what gave him shape and form and he’s the one who remembers doing those things but he’s also clearly putting this one on the rest of Joe. I may be your dark side and I may be the one who remembers this but nah this obsessive shit is not my half.
JOE I WAS ROOTING FOR YOU, WE WERE ALL ROOTING FOR YOU
I really believed he was being framed and I too was looking for the killer (and I had my suspects) but it turns out the call was coming from INSIDE THE HOUSE BOOKIE
This season took my ass on a JOURNEY. Part 2 had me TIRED and the plot twists had me going through every human emotion possible
But the most important thing this season has taught me is to mind my mf business (like Nadia should have done)
Bc if you ask me, I ain’t hear nothing & I ain’t see a damn thing
Man S4 highlighted how alike Love and Joe were. I was rewatching S3 and Love is also talking to her hallucination of her dead brother - who tells her that Joe isn't her soul mate, he is. And now Joe has spent a whole season interacting with his hallucination in a similar way (the relationship/date language used when talking about Rhys lol). Love was right, she and Joe were perfect for each other because they're literally mirror images lol
You know, just because I REALLY do like the messed up shoebox of things like stolen mail and a sweaty towel along with the annotated book Joe has... I kind of wish You season 4 had done a "twist" where Joe got obsessed with Rhys first and then getting into the rich people circle was all about getting closer to him... And then the killer reveal happens and suddenly it's all 'what do I do?!'
(yeah, maybe a bit too love quinnish but gayer, but don't tell me the fight club twist/Jekyll and Hyde twist was anymore original).
