In the 13th Century « Couvent des Cordeliers » with its legendary cellars, the incredible Bernard Hervet created the “1243 Bourgogne Society”, which brings together Burgundy wines collectors for masterclasses, tastings, dinners and concerts.

What a great experience it’s been last night, with the « 1955 Wine Dinner » that Bernard conveyed around the 1955 vintage through 20+ wonders such as Veuve Clicquot, Laville Haut-Brion, Meursault-Charmes, Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet, Cos d’Estournel, Léoville Las Cases, Clos de Vougeot, Yquem and other gems!

68 years after being harvested, these prodigious wines revealed their soul and it was a great emotion.

Today another icon of the Bordeaux Grands Crus Classés will be honored twice, at lunch and for dinner, the Château Haut-Bailly, of which Bernard is a great collector: stay tuned!

Vinho espetacular e estrela do encontro de ontem da #ConfrariaVinhoNosso — difícil poupar adjetivos pra descrever o magnífico “Château d’Yquem 1986”. . Um dos vinhos mais exclusivos do mundo e ícone da região de Sauternes, em Bordeaux, este vinho de sobremesa é elaborado com uvas Sémillon “botrytisadas” (i.e. acometidas pelo fungo Botrytis cinerea — a “podridão nobre”), cujos aromas e açúcares são concentrados pela desidratação. Assim, é necessário uma enorme quantidade de uvas para produzir uma pequena garrafa. . Com 33 anos de idade, este néctar apresenta coloração dourada intensa e alguns sedimentos no fundo da garrafa. Logo de início, um forte predomínio de acetona ofuscava os demais aromas. Mas, com o tempo na taca, surgiram aromas de damasco seco, casca de laranja, mel, baunilha, verniz e wasabi! Que buquê maravilhoso!!! Na boca, um verdadeiro néctar: doçura elevada, intensa acidez, corpo médio+ e grande untuosidade. Sabores de resina e de casca cítrica, com longa persistência! . Que vinho!!!
