(Tankhun POV)

"How the fuck did you get to this floor?" hissed Chan, who finally turned his body to face the woman, who was still a mystery to Tankhun, angrily.

She was gorgeous, alright. Her eyes were large and round, with a pair of naturally thick, bow-shaped eyebrows. She had high cheekbones, a sharp nose, plump lips, and a firm jawline. Not only was the face beautiful, her figure was also ideal. Tall and slim with curves in the right places. She tied her long jet black hair on top of her head, creating the illusion that she was even taller than her actual height, though she was still shorter than both Chan and Tankhun. The fact that she wore designers head to toe (Balenciaga black corset mini-dress, Loubie black classic pumps, and YSL red Loulou shoulder bag) complement her look perfectly. "Jimmy always has a soft spot for me," answered the woman, a triumphant smile tugged at her lips. It was clear that she felt that she had the upper hand.

Chan just clenched his fists and chose to remain silent and ignore her words, but Tankhun was pretty sure that Jimmy, sooner or later, would get a taste of Chan's anger.

"What do you want?" asked Chan, cold as ice, before adding, "Not that you deserve it, but you have 60 seconds."

"I have a proposition for you," she said. The smile on the lips that were covered in blood red lipstick changed from triumphant to sickly sweet, but still with a calculating undertone. Tankhun almost let out a snort and called out this manipulating woman, but this was none of his business, so he decided to zip his mouth and only observe the situation.

"The answer is no."

"You haven't even heard a word of my offer," she retorted, her lips slightly pouting oh-so-prettily (Tankhun almost snorted again). And of course, now she was whining, trying to look hurt, though her eyes were still calculating as hell.

"I don't need to hear a thing to know that it's bad," affirmed Chan.

"I had no idea you'd still be this angry with me, darling, " she said. "I know I've hurt you badly, but I really think you've already moved on."

The triumphant smile was firmly back again on her lips, while Chan got more emotional and tense.

Fuck! This woman knows exactly how to handle Chan.

Tankhun put his hand on Chan's back and stroked it gently to calm him down. And that little gesture seemed to finally alert her to Tankhun's presence, even though she tried very hard to act like she wasn't aware.

"Congratulations on your special award, by the way. I'm so proud."

What award?

It seemed that Tankhun wasn't the only one wondering about the award in question as he saw Chan was also startled for a moment, before he sneered.

"I'm not going to waste my breath asking where you got that information. I guess, dull, monotonous, and not at all exciting, only applies to footballers, but not to officials in the federation," Chan said sarcastically.

The smile, that seemed to be getting more and more annoying by the minutes, was still firmly on the woman's lips, she wasn't affected by Chan's sarcasm at all.

Oh! This bitch!

"Just say what you want and get the hell out!" yelled Chan.

"Let me be your date at the award ceremony," requested her straightfully, without any pretense.

"Finally, she utters some truth," mocked Chan as he saw the woman in disbelief.

"I believe this will benefit both of us," she added without the slightest shame.

Chan snorted, and could only shake his head at the woman's words. How could one person be so shameless? Even Tankhun, who didn't have all the details, could hardly contain himself.

"Benefit?" jeered Chan. "I doubt that very much. Not only do I have to share the spotlight, not that I care about that, with you, but I still have to spend time with the most unpleasant human being? No, thanks."

Oooh~ burn~

"This is just your emotion talking, darling. Deep down you know that I'm the perfect date for you," retorted her unabashedly. "I'm drop dead gorgeous, I know how to handle the media and audience, and I know all the right people."

Tankhun gasped. He shouldn't, but he couldn't help himself. Apparently, he has never been face to face with a true narcissist before, and he used to think that he was one.

"Stop talking and listen for once," ordered Chan curtly. "My answer is no and always will be no."

"I'm doing you a favor here, Chan. You're not going to find a better date than me and time is ticking," stated her confidently, still not giving up.

"As a matter of fact, I do have a better date for the award," announced Chan as his hand slowly crept up to Tankhun's waist.

Uh oh...

Chan swiftly pulled Tankhun's slender body toward him and put the scientist right in front of him, and then hugging Tankhun from behind and resting his chin on Tankhun's bare right shoulder.

"Let me introduce you to my boyfriend, Tankhun. Baby, this is Anna, the ex from hell."

God damn it, Chan!

(Chan POV)

Shit! What have I done?

But it's too late, and now, Chan could only hope that Tankhun would be willing to charade once again for his sake, just like when he helped him in front of Coach Vadim last month.

Anna looked at Tankhun from head to toe in arrogance, and Chan subconsciously tightened his arms around Tankhun while looking at his profile expectantly, waiting for his decision.

"Stop this bullshit before you two are humiliated, I can smell PR stunt from afar," accused Anna, her confidence was truly on another level and it made him sick.

"Why? Because you're a fake?"

Chan thanked all the deities that his (his?) Doctor had the most sassy mouth on the planet.

"Besides, I'm a scientist, what good is a PR stunt for me? I don't need clout."

"You're a scientist?" asked Anna, clearly shocked.

"Yes, Dr. Tankhun Theerapanyakul," stated Tankhun clearly, introducing himself. "Feel free to google me so you can see for yourself, my fabulousness in the microbiology field."

"Why do scientists like you date footballers like him?" asked Anna, who Chan was sure still hadn't recovered from her shock.

"Are you seriously just asking me that?" Tankhun asked her back, before turning his head to his right so that his cheek almost touched Chan's, and asking him, "Is she being serious?"

Chan could only chuckle in response to Tankhun's confused face.

"What's so funny about my question!?" shrieked Anna out of the blue. "It is weird that a jock like him is dating a nerdy like you!"

O~h, boy...

"Oh, my~ are we still in high school?" taunted Tankhun as he giggled like crazy.

"Shut up, you little b-"

"What? Bitch?" Tankhun cut her off instantly. "Honey, don't make me give you a mirror so you can meet with one."

Anna was livid, her face flushed almost the color of her favorite Dior red lipstick. Chan will never forget that shade of lipstick, because he paid for a lot of them, among many many other things, while they were still together.

"My sweet Caramello is the sweetest and very kind," told Tankhun calmly, as he deliberately pressed the back of his body, from the back of his thighs to his shoulders, to the front of Chan's body. They were tightly pressed together, there was absolutely no room between them, even for air. "I'm sure you're not blind, and can see with your own eyes, how hot my man is."

Chan immediately felt dizzy, several things invaded his mind at once, he didn't even know where to start, which point he had to understand first. That the Doctor, unknowingly to Chan, had a nickname (Caramello!?) for him? Or, that Chan was no longer able to lie to himself about his attraction to Tankhun? How could he deny it, when that beautiful body was sticking so close to him like this? He smelled so good and the skin on his bare shoulder that was right in front of Chan's eyes at the moment was crazy smooth. Let's not forget about that witty and sassy mouth that drives him absolutely mental, the mouth that Chan wanted to smack and kiss at the same time. And that ass, perky, beautiful, round ass, that was currently pressing closely to his crotch... Chan prayed to all the gods to give him all the strength, so he can control himself.

"Mello~ please tell your junior to behave, we have company," moaned Tankhun cunningly in a sweet tone, informing Chan about one thing that he was so worried about.

So much for control. Fuck me!

But Chan couldn't back down now, the show must go on, so he gently kissed the base of Tankhun's neck and whispered, "Forgive me, baby, my bad."

The captain could feel Tankhun's body shivering slightly and he was grateful that at least he wasn't the only one who was affected by this.

"You two disgust me!" said Anna, grunting in displeasure.

"Leave then, no one is holding you back."

"With pleasure," Anna replied, her eyes gleaming with a cruel intent. "Oh, a little bit of advice, tell your boyfriend to dress you up in a better outfit, you cheap sluts."

"Yet, you are the one who throws yourself at my boyfriend earlier," Tankhun said in a steely tone. "Who's the sluts now?"

Anna turned around in rage and left the two of them to walk towards the private elevator. Before the elevator doors closed, Tankhun, who was apparently still unfinished, made his final attack, "Oh, just so you know, I don't need a man to buy designer clothes for me. I have tons at home and got them all on my own."

The awkwardness came as soon as the private elevator doors closed. Chan and Tankhun moved away from each other at the same time, and neither one dared to look at each other's faces.

"I... uh...ehm... need to go to the bathroom first," stammered Chan.

"Ah... yes, you do that," responded Tankhun, who was still standing with his back to Chan.

"Okay."

"Wait!" yelled Tankhun suddenly.

"Yes?"

"Give me your car keys," requested Tankhun as he held out his hand. "I'll wait for you in the car."

"Good idea," replied Chan as he handed Tankhun, who immediately turned around and pressed the elevator button, his car keys.

Chan also immediately turned around and entered his penthouse to calm himself down. He covered his face with both hands while leaning against the door, with mixed feelings. He truly hoped this wouldn't destroy his relationship with Tankhun, because Chan really really liked him.

Oh God, this is madness!
