they met well before they developed any interest in each other 

when 2PM debuted i think

she would go to their album parties 

and took the SNSD girls with her (Tiffany, for example)

who ended up developing a relationship with Nichkhun in 2013 

Nara would listen to them speak in English as if she was watching aliens communicate

on one of these occasions Wooyoung tried to flirt with her

she was extremely uninterested in him as she was dating Kyuhyun at the time 

but they eventually broke up 

and Wooyoung used every possible chance to win her over 

especially one of the times they ran away from the manager so Tiffany could go out with Nickhun 

he asked Junho to go talk to Yoona, so that Nara would be alone and he could flirt with her

ok, maybe not so fast 

she was full of work at the time and they actually got together only two months later 

at the MAMA after party

in February 2014, when Tiffany and Nichkhun started dating publicly, SM and JYP denied the rumors of them dating saying that they were just friends of the couple and that's why they were always hanging out together

they ended up dating for almost a year 

but she never called him her boyfriend

it's worth remembering that they had been friends since 2004 

came into her office asking how his favorite trainee was 

“I haven't been a trainee for a long time, more than 10 years to tell you the truth”

said that he missed her at SM and that he had told her he wouldn't let anything bad happen to her

and they'd been great friends before, so it was pretty easy to let things flow afterwards 

he liked physical contact a lot (and so did she) 

they were always holding hands or intertwining arms 

they could talk for hours and she would always laugh at him 

even though he didn't really seem like such a funny man, his passion made her laugh no matter what they were doing 

like when he danced as soon as he woke up 

or when he brought her coffee in bed, showing her a lot of affection 

(and his passion during sex!!) 

but this passion also made them argue a lot

and the arguments were always very heated 

maybe it was the wrong time, or they were just better friends. 

they decided to break up 

but they became friends again

they had a one night stand after his divorce 

extremely casual 

they became colleagues later 

and eventually friends after she took part in My Little Old Boy 

they pretended to have met each other during the show

after Sabbatical Serenade aired, Jackson sent her a message congratulating on the series sucess

said it was different from what he had seen in korean television and he really liked her humor

said he heard she liked to party and invited her to a small hang out

she did go

and they did hook up 

it’s not like she didn’t know why he was sending her those messages and inviting her to party 

she wasn’t born yesterday

they started as something extremely casual 

just friends, sex and aftercare

some talking and cuddling after is essencial

and they were very good at this

because it wasn't an isolated event, but rather the construction of several small events that turned into this catastrophe 

they loved each other, right? they always loved each other

and one day he plucked up the courage to say it

he didn't even have to say all the words

she replied with “I know”

because she noticed that in some of his lyrics he mentioned things they did together

because Leeteuk told her after he saw the two of them kissing in 2008 

she did have a crush on him at the time but he acted like nothing happened

"Annyeonghaseyo, ma'am. Welcome to the House of Gladiolus. I am General Park's assistant, Yunho. I will also be your assistant from now on. This is the head maid of the house, Eunbi," Yunho said, introducing himself and Eunbi.

Eunbi bowed, and Y/N returned the gesture. "Let's escort you to your room, ma'am," Yunho continued.

"Where's, uh… you know," Y/N hesitated, trying to ask about Seonghwa without knowing his name.

"The General is in his room," Yunho replied, sensing her discomfort.

"Oh," Y/N said softly.

"Let's go," Eunbi urged gently, and Y/N followed them to the House of Barcarolle. The path was lined with more flowers and delicate lanterns, creating a serene atmosphere that contrasted with the anxiety in Y/N's heart. As they reached the entrance, Yunho and Eunbi stepped aside to let Y/N enter her new quarters.

"Thank you," Y/N said, trying to mask her nervousness with a smile.

"Please, if you need anything, don't hesitate to call for us," Yunho said with a reassuring smile before he and Eunbi left Y/N to settle into her new surroundings.

Y/N stepped inside the House of Barcarolle, her eyes adjusting to the elegant black floral theme that adorned the walls. A prominent picture of the first queen of Goguryeo hung on one side, piquing Y/N's curiosity about the story of this house and the royal lineage. Though an inexplicable sense of unease gnawed at her, she couldn't help but feel grateful for the luxurious accommodations: a spacious room with a large bed and an expansive closet.

Stripping off her dress, Y/N washed her face and slipped into her night suit. The day's events had exhausted her, and she quickly drifted off to sleep.

The next morning, Y/N was gently roused by Eunbi shaking her shoulder.

"Ma'am, it's time to wake up," Eunbi said softly.

Y/N rubbed her eyes and slowly sat up, blinking away the remnants of sleep. "Good morning, Eunbi," she murmured.

"Good morning, ma'am," Eunbi replied with a warm smile. "Breakfast is ready, and the General has requested to see you after."

Y/N nodded, feeling a mix of nervousness and anticipation. "Thank you, Eunbi. I'll get ready."

As Eunbi left the room, Y/N took a moment to collect herself. The room's dark floral patterns and the mysterious portrait seemed less intimidating in the morning light. She got dressed, determined to make a good impression and to learn more about the enigmatic General Park Seonghwa and her new life in the House of Gladiolus.

I do not want to hear how "TVXQ is not a top 2nd gen group" from kpop fans who only just started listening to the genre .5 milliseconds ago. Stop posting on Twitter that you know who was worth time between the years of 2003-2013 when you weren't even born yet.

I was there. TVXQ were the most popular group of the 2nd gen if we went by fanclub numbers alone. Especially in the years 2003-2011 - when the Korean fanclub alone was nearing 850,000 members and their Japanese fanclub was putting them over 1 million registered fans.

The only reason you hear about BigBang or 2PM or Shinee more nowadays is because they didn't have an industry altering split during the time that kpop started branching out in the west. I am not saying those listed groups weren't popular, because they were, but in my eyes they didn't get to TVXQs heights for that time. They eventually did concur over TVXQ - but it took TVXQ splitting and disappearing for a few years, along with the fandom mess that followed, to allow the other groups the chance.

TVXQ was like b/t/s of the 2nd gen. Just because you weren't around to see it doesn't mean it didn't happen. The hardest part is that everyone ignores it did happen and forgets what actually occurred in kpop prior to 2013.

“Well, that's great, I thought i was about to ruin what we just started” you sighed. You're glad Yunho feels the same way, or that definitely would've been awkward.

“You could never ruin what we started ..” he whispered. You noticed he is standing much closer to you than you realized.

“Yunho.., the fact that we got this close and sure of ourselves in such a short time is very wild to me. We met just tonight and we're already like this.” You explained.

“So?” He said, sure of himself. “I really like you, and just because we've only met tonight doesn't mean we don't have time to really know each other.” He countered.

“Well.., that's true” you spoke softly. You smile at him with joyful eyes. Him smiling back with just as much joy.

“So.. where do we start?” You asked hesitantly, now confused on how to get this train moving. “Well… how about we go on a first date? We can go to the mall..or a restaurant, even to a park. Anywhere is fine with me as long as you like it.” He spoke with such contentment that you feel a wave of comfort and joy run through you.

“We can go to a park.., then maybe go out to eat.” You said with a happy smile plastered on your face like a doofus. He smiled and nodded, “then it's a date. How about tomorrow? 2pm?” He asked. You nodded as soon as that question left his lips.

He chuckled at your eagerness. Rubbing your back, petting your head. “You're gonna kill me before we make it to the date if you keep smiling at me like that.” You laughed, the sound like music to his ears.

“Then don't be so down bad for me.” You giggled, he smiled at you so warmly. “I can't, I'm too far down.” He pressed your head into his chest and hugged you like it was -20 degrees out.

You leaned deeper into his chest and inhaled his scent. “I've never gotten this close to someone so quickly before.”

“Me neither” he replied, “but there's always a first time for everything”

You hummed in agreement, taking all his scent and warmth in. You two broke the hug and before you knew it, he planted a quick kiss to the crown of your head.

You blushed, he smiled at your reaction and spoke, “Don't be so down bad for me” he mocked your words from earlier. You smiled defeated.

“Well do you wanna come over and we could talk for a bit? I do really wanna get to know you.” You muttered, he bent down slightly to hear you better. “Of course, lead me the way!” he said with enthusiasm.

"Unnie," Y/N called out to Yeji.

"Yes, Y/N?" Yeji responded.

"I-I'm not sure about marrying this person. I mean, I only know his name. I don't know what he looks like or what he's like. I've never even heard about him," Y/N confessed.

"Well, I understand your concerns, but meeting him before the wedding isn't really possible. However, Hyunjin is somewhat acquainted with him, and strategist Yeosang is a good friend. Perhaps they could provide some insight," Yeji suggested with a comforting smile.

"Thank you," Y/N returned the smile before heading to Yeosang's office.

A gentle knock interrupted Yeosang's work, prompting him to invite Y/N in.

"Princess," Yeosang greeted with a respectful bow, reciprocated by Y/N.

"Do you need anything, princess?" Yeosang inquired.

"Please call me Y/N, oppa," Y/N replied politely. "I just wanted to ask about General Seonghwa. If you could tell me a bit about him? If you're not busy, that is."

"Please, have a seat," Yeosang gestured towards a chair, and they both sat down. "You don't need to worry, Y/N. Yes, he may have a tough and distant reputation, but he deeply cares for those close to him. I'm confident that he'll come to cherish you as well. Just focus on preparing yourself and dismiss any negative thoughts."

Yeosang's reassuring words brought a semblance of calm to Y/N's nerves, and she nodded in gratitude.

"I have a meeting with the lieutenant of the army, so I'll take my leave now," Yeosang announced, and they both exited the office.

"Princess! Your dress is ready. Please come to your room for the final fitting," a maid called out to Y/N, who followed her eagerly.

The anticipation and uncertainty surrounding the impending wedding continued to weigh heavily on Y/N's mind as she prepared for the final fitting of her bridal attire.

Amidst all the hustle and bustle, Seonghwa's mind was a whirlwind of mixed feelings. The upcoming marriage weighed heavily on him, stirring up memories of his childhood devoid of affection and warmth.

"HARDER! SWING HARDER!!" Seonghwa's father's voice echoed in his mind as he recalled their training sessions.

"I'm swinging as hard as I can, Abeoji," Seonghwa grunted in response, struggling to meet his father's expectations.

"NO YOU'RE NOT! Look at Junho, he's doing it perfectly!" His father's frustration was palpable, leaving Seonghwa feeling inadequate.

"He's 10 years old, jagi, Seonghwa's only five," his mother intervened, trying to ease the tension, but her efforts fell on deaf ears.

"Go away, woman! What do you know? Go get the lunch ready, not for this little girl though," his father dismissed her, his words stinging.

Seonghwa snapped out of his thoughts when a maid urgently called for him, bringing him back to the present.

"Yes?" Seonghwa responded, his mind still lingering on the memories.

"The designer is here for the final fitting of your hanbok," the maid informed him.

"Let him in," Seonghwa said, trying to shake off the heaviness in his chest.

"Good afternoon, General," Yongbok greeted as he entered, bowing respectfully.

Seonghwa accepted the hanbok and tried it on, standing on a stool while Yongbok checked the fit.

"Perfect!" Yongbok declared, satisfied with his work.

"You may keep this hanbok with you as it is ready for you wedding tomorrow." Yongbok said and the realization dawned on Seonghwa that less than a day is left before he gets married.

As preparations continued both at the palace and the House of Gladiolus, Seonghwa and Y/N retired to their respective chambers, their hearts heavy with anxiety and their minds consumed by thoughts of the upcoming day.

Personally as I age I would much rather have idols that are also my age and older than me and not have them pushed out by 15 year olds who dropped out of school and are 'getting their education' from their predatory management

this obsession with youth in kpop is insanely unhealthy, always has been, and is only being pushed to new extremes. and people that support artists like newjeans, for example, are contributing to this absolutely damaging behavior. when they should be looking at people their OWN age, or should be actively concerned about what is happening to these young people (in general), most of them minors.

look at how amazing second gen idols are; 2pm, tvxq, highlight, shinee. they are so dutiful, they look amazing, they have a larger skillset and an expertly honed craft. these people are active to this day; why wouldn't anyone want to support them? and you certainly do not have to thrust the image of "5h gen idols" on these groups, just because they are being styled youthful. which, you know. groups like exo and monsta x still are.
