A small Yusa Kōji interview regarding Hero's Day for PSP from an unknown issue of B's Log.

1. Please tell us what's charming about "TIGER & BUNNY" and how the game is uniquely charming.

1. もちろんヒーローたちの活躍や会話のテンポも魅力的ですが、みんな非常に人間的で親しみが持てるキャラクターだというところが大きいと思います。ゲームは、ひとつの視点ではなく、それぞれの立場で物事を見られるので、そこがアニメと違う部分かもしれません。
ユーリも仕事をしています（笑）。あまりお目にかける事は多くないので、お忘れなきようお願いします。司法局の人間です。

1. Of course, the activities of the heroes and the tempo of conversation is charming, but I think the big points are that every character is very human and friendly. The game is not played from only one point of view, and you can see things from the other (characters') perspectives, which may be different from the anime. Yuri is also working (laughs). You don't see him very often, so please don't forget he's a person from the Judicial Bureau.

初めてルナティックを見た時はその異質さに驚きました。他のヒーローたちと比べて全く系統が違うという印象です。最初は怖かったです（笑）、特に目が。しかしその生い立ちやユーリの人物像を知るにつれ、この姿がピッタリだと思うようになりました。顔の手形については桂先生が触れられるかと思いますが、あの怒りとも妖しさとも哀しみとも取れる表情は秀逸だと思います。全体に施されたラインの模様も気に入っています。鋭角的なデザインが好きなので。デザインとは関係ないですが、スーツの性能はやはり手作りという感じですね（笑）。斎藤さんが作ってくれたらあんなことにはならなかったのになぁと個人的にはちょっと残念に思います。まぁ、そこは実力でカバー。

僕にとってはヒーローたちに負けない、まぎれもない "ヒーロー”です。

When I saw Lunatic for the first time, I was surprised at the different quality (of his design). I had the impression that his lineage was completely different compared to the other heroes. I was scared at first (laughs), especially of the eyes. However, as I learned about Yuri's upbringing and personality, I grew to think that his appearance was perfect. Katsura-Sensei added the handprint of his face (to his mask), which is excellent because I think that the expressions (Lunatic's) can be taken as angry, mysterious and sad. I also like the pattern of the lines applied to the whole because I like sharp design. While it has nothing to do with the design (concepts), the performance of the suit is still handmade (laughs). Personally, I'm a little disappointed that Mr. Saito had not made it, but his (Lunatic's) abilities covered up for it.

For me, he's unmistakably a "hero" who can't lose to the heroes.

ネクタイは、虎徹のネクタイと同じく真ん中にストライプを入れ、それをユーリの場合は、カクカクにしたデザインです。

白と黒に、中央が自身の立ち位置を示すグレーにしていて、前回より、彼のキャラクター性を表したつもりです。

The necktie is the same as Kotetsu's tie, with a stripe in the middle. In Yuri's case, it is a jagged design. It's white and black with the centre grey to indicate his stance, shown from his character in the previous installment (S1).

ユーリは、「The Rising」では、新規デザインがなかったので、自分も楽しみでした。とはいえ職業柄、スーツ姿には変わりないので、遊べるところが少ないのですが、探は、ゲーム「ASTRAL CHAIN』で探いた四角いデザインを取り入れて、探えて、ボタンも四角くしています。

I was looking forward to the "The Rising" because there was no new design for Yuri. However, because of his occupation, he doesn't change his suit, so there were few places to play. So I incorporated the square design used in the game "ASTRAL CHAIN", and also used it for his buttons.

Yuri Draft:

TN: There is another colour chart with a tie in the colours from the previous season, but I haven't included it.

Katsura says he originally coloured the tie in the same colours as S1 but decided to stop.

ーご自身が演じられているキャラクター以外で気になる存在はいますか？

-Is there anything you are interested in other than the character you are playing?

寿 私はユーリが気になっていて、彼が好きです。『T&B2』では物語的にもユーリが熱い展開だったので、目が離せませんでした。先ほどユーリのデザイン画を見させていただいたのですが、改めてカバンやネクタイひとつとっても彼の小道具はすごくオシャレだなと思いました。あと、アニメで髪が逆立っているシーンもすごく幻想的で。

Kotobuki: I'm interested in Yuri, and I like him. In "T&B2", Yuri's story has passionate development, and I couldn't take my eyes off it. I saw the drawings of Yuri's design, and thought the accessories of his bag and tie were very fashionable. Also, the scene in the anime, where his hair is standing on end is so fantastic.

桂 ユーリの展開は衝撃的だよね。

僕もプロットの段階から、ルナティックのクライマックスは「嘘だ！もったいない！やめてよ」と何回も言った記憶があります。でも彼についてははっきりと言及されているわけじゃないから、まだどうなったかはわからないと思います（笑）。千葉さんは誰が気になりました？

Katsura: Yuri's development is shocking, isn't it?

During the plot stages, I remember saying: "It's a lie! What a waste! Stop it!" many times about Lunatic's ending (climax). But it's not clearly mentioned, so I don't think I understand what happened yet (laughs).

Mr. Chiba, who are you interested in?

千葉 僕もキャラクターではないのですが、ルナティックのボウガンが良いなと。必殺技で「炎」は定番だと思うんですけど、その炎をボウガンで撃ち出すというアイデアが画期的でめちゃくちゃカッコいいなと思いました。

Chiba: I'm not interested in characters either (TN: Morita says earlier that he's not interested in characters), but Lunatic's bowgun is good. I think "flames" are standard special moves, but the idea of shooting flames with a bow gun was ground-breaking and incredibly cool.

TN: What follows is easily the greatest thing about this interview and it doesn't even have any Yuri/Luna content! 😭🤣

意外と評判が良い？ 男性キャラの「おしり」

Is it good that the male characters "butts'" are surprisingly popular?

島崎 僕は自分の役で申し訳ないんですけど、トーマスのキュッとした「おしり」がたまりません！新ヒーローの中でエー��的存在のトーマスが、ピチッとしたスーツを着ているところに痺れたんです。その分、気絶した時には残念な姿に映りましたが（笑）、内またのラインとかが顕著に出ていて、「さすが桂先生のおしり」だと思いました。

Shimazaki: I'm sorry to say this since it's my role, but Thomas' tight "butt" is irresistible! I was numb to the fact that Thomas, who is an ace among the new heroes, was wearing a tight suit. As a result, it was unfortunate when he fainted (laughs), because the inner line was prominent, and I thought: "as expected of Katsura-Sensei's butts".

桂 あははは！でも、男の尻だよ?

Katsura: Ahahaha! But it's a man's ass?

島﨑どこからみてもラインが美しいんですよ。イケてます！

Shimazaki: No matter where you look, the line is beautiful. It's cool!

平田 キュッとした桂先生の「おしり」、意外と評判いいですよ？

Hirata: Katsura-Sensei's "butts" are surprisingly popular, aren't they?

桂 そうなの！？

Katsura: Is that so!?

TnBAdvent Day 7

Re-watch an episode and briefly review it

逃走する強盗殺人犯。それが母親を殺害した犯人であることを知ったルナティックは怒りの炎を燃やす。しかし私刑を止めようとする虎徹とバーナビーが間に割って入る。ルナティックと対峙するバーナビー。しかしこのヒーロー活動停止中の無断行動は思わぬ影響を招くことになる。

Burglars and murderers on the run. When Lunatic learns these are the people who killed his mother, he burns his flames of anger. However, Kotetsu and Barnaby, try to stop the killing by interfering. Barnaby confronts Lunatic; however, this unauthorized action during the suspension of hero activity will have an unexpected impact.

Episode 20... oh man what can I say about Episode 20 (and 19 that leads up to it). Poor poor Yuri. He was having such a better time with his Mama and living a live of normalcy. And in an instant his world was turned upside down.

Episodes 19-20 are very special to me because I was grieving my own father's death when I watched them. And Yuri's grief and sadness helped me process my own. My Dad died of a life long battle with alcoholism so our relationship was complicated to say the least. But like Yuri and his Mama (and may be even his father at the end of the episode), he still grieved for them and particularly with Legend, there were unresolved feelings in the way his mind would always project those images of him. There's so much more I could say but I'll just leave it with this episode was very helpful for me in processing my grief over the loss of my father. And it's still painful to watch.

Yusa's acting is incredible in this episode.

So I meant to throw this screenshot in my earlier shitpost dump, but I forgor. I guess you can argue it's more a cute piece of trivia from the Cour2 Watch Parties than a shitpost...

「タルタルソース」 - Tartar Sauce

In watch Party Ep 20, Hirata Hiroaki (Kotetsu's seiyuu), and Morita Masakazu (Bunny's seiyuu), have a discussion about the Underworld's Tartarus (from Greek Mythology), because Luna tells Kotetsu and Bunny they're headed there for trying to help the robbers who killed Origa.

Tartarus is the region of the Underworld where the most evil go to suffer and is also used as a prison for the Titans.

Anyway, Hirata pulls out sheets of written facts about Tartarus and reads them to the audience. Morita gets a kick out of watching Hirata get through the terms, and Hirata is rather pleased with himself for learning something new.

In Watch Party 24, Yusa Kōji (Yuri/Luna's seiyuu aka "Yusatic") 🤣 is their guest. Hirata and Morita bring up the Taibani Cour2 pv. Hirata actually calls his character's appearance in the pv "Yuri", but Yusa corrects him to say "Lunatic". Then Hirata calls Tartarus "Tartar Sauce"!! to which Yusa replies "Tartarus."

Hirata is absolutely adorable in all of these, and is a friggin treasure. Also I love whenever he puts on his reading glasses.

Also in the TaiBani server I belong to, we discussed other inclusions of Greek Mythology (outside of Yuri's mentions of Thanatos and Tartarus - also Themis if you count his character single).

The agencies that represent the heroes other than Jungle and TopMaG are also based on Greek Mythology. (Thank you Saint Seiya for making me such a fan of this topic).

Helios - the god that personifies the Sun

Poseidon - Presides over the sea, storms, earthquakes and horses. Also sometimes governs Atlantis as part of his domain such as in Plato's Timaeus and Critias.

Odysseus - King of Ithaca and hero featured in Homer's Odyssey

Apollo(n) - The Greek god of archery, healing, music (and the arts), light, the Sun, knowledge, herds and flocks, and protection of the young.

Titan - elder gods who ruled the earth before the Olympians over threw them.

Kronos - Ruler of the Titans and Zeus' (ruler of Olympus) father

Hesperides - Nymphs of evening and golden lights of sunset

Ouroboros is actually not a Greek Mythology term. Its an ancient symbol from Egyptian iconography, Greek magic, and alchemy, that represents the eternal cycle of life, death and rebirth.

Yuri's Route is the shortest in the game and only has half the maximum points that can be achieved compared to the other characters.

Completing Yuri's Route triggers the end game (Climax)

Each character gets to do a "Next Episode" Preview. Here is Luna's. Yusa has to speak in Bunninglish for the English Episode Title (as does everyone else).

His version of "See ya!" is "THANATOS NO KOE WO KIKOE" (naturally).

More Extras:

Kiriri went back to try for different results in Yuri's Route. Apparently denying Barnaby's request for points does NOT max out that stat (Stunned by Barnaby's True Intentions).

If you speak harshly to Signal Red:

I was lucky to be in server chat this morning, when @tempkiriri was playing Yuri's Route. I was blessed with permission to translate these lovely screenshots of his route.

ユーリ・・・つまりあなたは偶然犯人と遭遇したということですね

Yuri: ... In other words, she accidentally encountered the criminal.

ユーリHERO TV以外で事件解決とは大変でしたね

Yuri: It was hard to solve the case outside of HERO TV.

ユーリ（所詮ヒーローなど善的正義の上で踊らされている道化師か・・・)

Yuri: (After all, it's a clown dancing on the good justice of heroes...)

Blue Rose calls Yuri to report about the criminal she apprehended but forgets to hang up the phone

Yuri: Ohhh "red" is... 

(TN: "Ohhh, it's "red"..." would work as well.  Yuri is making the connections between the captured criminals)

Yuri contacts Barnaby. Through his position of Hero Administrator, he has access to the personal information of all the Heroes, as indicated in his Hero Column Card.

パーナビー いえ、こちらこそ・・・本当は僕がそちらに出向くべきなのでしょうが

Barnaby:  No, it's I who should say so... I should really go there.

(TN: "Kochira koso" - Depending on the context, if this is just Barnaby answering Yuri's phone call, it's typical pleasantries exchanged between individuals and could just be "No, thanks for asking")

ユーリ（この男を利用してか・・・周りくどいやり方を。俗人の考えることはわからんな）

Yuri:  I should take advantage of this man's gaudy mannerisms... I really don't understand how people with low taste think

ユーリ（ブラッドレッドという名前からしてストロベリーレッドに関わりがあるのは間違いないー)

Yuri: (From the name Blood Red, there's no doubt it's related to Strawberry Red)

バーナビー であればどうでしょう？僕とブルーローズさんに特別ポイントを加点するというのは？

Barnaby: So what? You'll give extra points to me and Blue Rose?

Select: 検討します(I'll consider it) or それは無理です (That's Impossible) 

(TN: I'd prefer to translate this as "Absolutely NOT." for context, and to match Yuri's personality, but "That's Impossible" would be the more accurate translation.)

We chose the former to be diplomatic, but I had missed that Yuri had actually been quite scathing about his inside comments towards Barnaby.  And by the final score, it seems that it would have been better to select "NO.  CRY ABOUT IT." for max points

ETA: Kiriri tried to deny Barnaby in a subsequent playthrough, however, this did not give you max points.

ユーリ私だけで判断できる事ではないのでここで返事はできませんが・・・検討してみましょう

Yuri: I can't give you an immediate response, because it's not a decision I can make alone, but ...I'll consider it.

ユーリ(・・・ポイントの事しか頭にないのか？正義のヒーローが聞いて呆れる）

Yuri: (Do you only care about points? I'm amazed to hear this hero's sense of justice)

Video from Kiriri where the News is giving some plot from events that happened to during the other character's routes.  I mainly included it to show how skilled Yusa is at portraying the two sides to Yuri.  His Judge/Hero Administrator speech patterns are very polite and cordial, and you can hear it in the way he asks the cab driver to turn off the radio.  Then he switches to his (INSIDE VOICE) which is pretty forceful and blunt, a lot more like his Lunatic persona.  

At the Police Office questioning Signal Red

ユーリ君がシグナルレッドですか？

Yuri:  Are you Signal Red?

Select:

Speak to them in a gentle tone

キツイロ調で話しかける

Speak to them harshly

LMAO we chose "gentle" and apparently Yuri's "Inside Voice" did not like that.

ユーリ（罪人とはいえ、あまりえさせるのは得策ではなさそうだなー)

Yuri:  (Even though they are a sinner, it doesn't seem like it's a good idea to be hard on them.)

TSUMIBITO (sinner).  THIS MAN USED TSUMIBITO TO REFER TO A CHILD.  He usually reserves harsher words like this for more heinous criminals like murderers.

But apparently Signal Red is a child who's made of tougher stuff.

シグナルレッド ちゃんと大人と話すように接してくれよ。子供扱いすんな

So Antonio is formal enough to say "Otsukaresamedeshita" but not to use -dono after Kanrikan.  Even Kotetsu uses Kanrikan-dono, though Blue Rose hadn't in earlier dialogue.  Though she may have been caught off guard.

(TN: "Otsukaresamedeshita": common saying to thank people such as instructors "thank you for your hard work/tiring yourself to teach us".  In Yuri's case, in his role as Hero Administrator, he is responsible for deploying heros to incidents)

The blue one contains the following phrases:
