yuta developes a crush on kohaku after the events of fruitful october (the story where he almost falls down a cliff and adonis, kaoru, and kohaku save him). he bakes kohaku some traditional japanese sweets as thanks with the help of niki (who's none the wiser) and starts to hang around crazy:b more often despite still claiming to not trust rinne.

the only people who know about his crush are hinata, shinobu, kaoru, rei, and nagisa (he only told shinobu, the others found out on their own).

kaoru and nagisa, being his roommates and friends, try to give him advice which sometimes works (kaoru) and sometimes doesn't (nagisa). kaoru also tastefully teases him about his crush, though he makes sure never to take it too far.

rei offers cryptic advice while also playing wingman, as he wants to see his "beloved child" happy.

shinobu's super supportive, though he has no clue how to help as he's completely oblivious when it comes to things like romance.

hinata's the worst, trying to play wingman all the time and not being subtle about it at all. yuta's surprised and grateful that kohaku hasn't found out about his crush despite all of hinata attempts to get them together (including but not limited to: shoving them into a locker together, inviting crazy:b to have dinner with 2wink, complimenting kohaku and saying it was from yuta, etc).

little does anyone know, kohaku's been developing his own little crush in the meantime. but that's a story for a different night >:3

kohayuta monster parallels. inescapable fate (being a killer, being a twin) that weighs on them to the point they feel like they're going to break. but there's no way out, there's no escape, they're not the only ones in this (madara and hinata parallels: coming soon). they have to be strong, they have to put on an act, because they're being depended on and they have to keep up the status quo they HAVE to fit in. so they go out into society and hang out with friends and play the part of a Perfectly Normal Person. but at the end of the day they each look in the mirror and see only masks. are they what fate has decided for them, or are they more than that? everyday is a struggle to decide. their reflections grow foggier and foggier.

i need kohaku to stumble across yuta playing the keytar one day and he's just s o enthralled by it that yuta asks if he wants to try playing. and kohaku may be good at lots of things, but playing musical instruments is not one of them. still, he agrees, and when he's carefully handed the instrument, he holds it all wrong and doesn't even know where to start. so yuta comes up behind him and guides his hands into the right positions, cupping his fingers with his own. kohaku freezes up from the proximity; yuta's hands are warm and unbearably soft where they slot against his own cold hands. he doesn't realize he's spacing out until yuta lets go. kohaku hadn't heard any of yuta's instructions due to being too distracted, so he passes the keytar back to yuta with an apology and bolts off.
