The thing abt being American is that. There is no quality of life. If you're a regular working class American and you can't afford to drop 30k a year on college (and lets be real even if you go to college your prospects arent that much better), you end up working 60 hours a week with no vacation days and no chance of retirement, pay $100 a month for health care you can't afford to use, and all of your tax dollars go to the biggest military in the world. Infrastructure in every major city is crumbling, we don't have public transport basically anywhere, our education system is built on the backs of teachers who don't make a living wage who have to subsidize poor budgets out of their own pockets, if you get sick you're just fucked. And every single day all over our supposedly great country, people are getting shot in schools and shopping malls for no good goddamn reason and the government says they can't do anything about it because they're too busy bombing the rest of the world. And we're too tired and sick and broke to do anything about it.

I know I'm not saying anything new here but shit is bleak and I'm tired.
