ok i wasn’t going to say anything because i wasn’t sure it was my place to do so but it’s been bothering me so i’m just going to say it. 

this is marlon pendlebury, a model that i’ve seen used a lot (specifically this exact picture) as a popular fc for edits, especially for alex claremont-diaz and nicky hemmick, characters who are half mexican and half white. however, according to this website, marlon is of zimbabwean and indian descent. he’s not mexican, he’s not even latino. so it would be great if editors on tumblr could stop using him as a fc for latino characters, especially alex and nick where their mexican descent is explicitly stated in canon. 

if you’ve made this mistake before, i completely understand because he is a popular fc, just please be more mindful when choosing pictures to use in your edits. if you need help looking for a fc, blogs like peppermintstranger are really useful! poc are not interchangeable no matter how ethnically ambiguous they may look :)
