#i went through my photos the other day and realised that I've never taken a close up photo of a magpie.#i see magpies everyday. I've never paid much attention to magpies#I've taken magpies for granted you could say#but they're so pretty! and I've always known that they're pretty!#so I've tried to take photos of magpies recently and what can i say? i couldn't#they always run away when they see my camera#so this is like. a goal for me now#get a magpie to pose or AT LEAST SIT STILL#anyway. beautiful photos beautiful bird

i went to a Bird Area ™ yesterday and am going through the photos now and oh my god
#there were lapwings! and so many ducks and geese and grebes#and storks and swallows that were so chill with people they basically might as well have been tame#and i just saw an animal in one of the photos that i think is a nutria. it might be a muskrat or a beaver tbh i've lost my sense of scale#i did not see that thing when i was there so who knows what else i'll find in the photos
