Lore:

-Beatrice’s mother Amelia was a young woman from a poor background who in desperate need for money agreed to partake in this experimental program known as Mkultra, unfortunately for her the program seemed to be a fail for her and her daughter Beatrice who seemed to show no effect from it once she was born, Amelia however was paid incredibly well by the man conducting the experiment to not reveal any of what happened to her or her child to the public. Amelia thought that would be the end of it but unfortunately for her she had no clue she was under surveillance.

-The first two years of Beatrice’s lives were relatively normal she lived in a decent sized house with her mother and met the developmental markers for her age although things got odd a bit before her fourth birthday.

-Amelia felt this awful sensation of someone watching her and got this gut feeling about her daughter although the police department brushed off her concerns.

-She noticed off behaviour from her daughter her toys seemed to be moved by themselves ending up in places where she was sure her daughter couldn’t reach for an unexplainable reason.

-throughout the next few weeks things got worse until she felt like going crazy and then it happened.

-Amelia walked into her daughter’s bedroom to find her gone, vanished without a trace.

-1978 a young girl with a shaved head and a hospital gown was seen walking along side a road next to Hawkins woods.

-the lady who picked her up believed she could have been a victim of trafficking/abuse and alerted child protective services who collected the child before hawkins lab could to get to her again.

-spent two/three years in the foster care system before being adopted by Mr. and Mrs.Woods a caring yet neglectful couple.

-moved to hawkins in late summer/early autumn of 1985 to start her sophomore year of highschool.

Season 4 plot line:

-few months into living in Hawkins begins to notice strange occurrences about herself like frequent nose bleeds, lights flickering around her and odd dreams about some sort of rainbow room and a familiar looking blond.

-feels a strange connection to the recent deaths which happen such as Chrissy Cunningham, Fred Benson and Patrick McKinley as if she was a witness to similar violence before.

-Vecna senses a familiar presence in hawkins and in his own twisted way wants Beatrice to remember.

-Beatrice is freaked out by this terrified of her own mind and tries to keep it to herself until it becomes to to much and she accidentally ends up breaking down about it to her close friend Savannah which seals her faith by inviting her to the paranormal side of Hawkins.

-basically then the two girls are trying to survive what is happening while also trying to help Beatrice understand what even is going on.

The legend of Jack Hoffman

October 20th 1983

Officer Jim Hopper received a report from a concerned individual living near maple street about a stop sign which was nowhere to be found, after investigating the scene he chalked it up to a delinquent teenager and told the woman he was sure it wouldn’t happen again.

October 25th 1983

The hawkins police department received yet another report about a missing street sign this time it was a speed limit sign located in old cherry, yet again the suspect left behind no clues about their address identity although Hopper had a feeling it was connected to the previous incident which happened almost a week ago. “Stupid kid” he thought to himself an amused smile resting on his face from the absolute absurdity of this incident.

October 29th 1983

The hawkins street sign bandit struck again, Mrs. Walsh explained that last night the “keep out private property” sign in their residence had been stolen, gone without a trace. Officer Hopper questioned the Walsh family to see if perhaps they had any enemies/known rivals who could have been behind the theft but he received no suspects the closest thing being is their son 8th grader Troy Walsh offhandedly mentioning how he got into an argument with some “puny seventh grader with this strange look of determination on his face” but Hopper didn’t believe that this 5 feet nothing 12 year old kid had it in him to uproot and carry an entire traffic sign, so yet again the hawkins street sign bandit remained without an identity.

Throughout the month of November there were no more missing stop signs as if the bandit had been laying low, officer callahan theorised that the kid behind them was under house arrest from the Will Byers case but Officer Hopper had bigger things to worry about then some missing street signs.

January of 1984 the hawkins street sign bandit struck again.

For the week of the 10th-17th of January there were almost daily reports from concerned citizens all over Hawkins ranging from maple street to old cherry about stop signs, speed limit signs and even traffic cones which seemed to vanish without a trace. with Will Byers finally out of the hospital and back at home with the safety of his family and friends the case of the “hawkins street bandit” was reopened.

Hawkins police department suspected the culprit was in their teen years perhaps between 14-17 years old age.

Hawkins high school and middle school even issues assembly’s regarding the situation telling pupils to come forward if they know the identity of the street sign bandit but no body came forward and the case remained unresolved.

The Hawkins street sign bandit remained active for the next few months, nowhere was safe from the bandit striking from old cherry to the Harrington household and and all sorts of street sign were at risk of falling victim to the feral culprit.

Notable incidents were occurred were the disappearance of the “welcome to Hawkins sign” on the 12th of May 1984, three traffic cones on Cornwallis going missing the night of the twelfth of June 1984, stop sign on Kerley getting stolen 9th of August 1984 and a “please slow down” sign in Maple on the night of the 2nd of December 1984.

Petty crimes which are believed to be linked to the bandit are the Harrington households doormat going missing, Ted Wheelers Reagan sign being vandalised and Billy Hargroves car being egged. although the police department are unable to confirm if the person who’s stealing street signs is behind this.

Despite the bandit striking countless times that year they left behind no clue of their identity and since they stole from a variety of places it was difficult to pinpoint a direct location to where they may be living. The police department were beginning to grow frustrated their original amusement now turned into exasperation as after a year they weren’t any closer to solving this mystery

May 4th 1985

Jim Hopper finally received a name to the street sign bandit, four simple words spray painted on the side walk next to where the stop sign once stood.

School life: Like the party he was picked on by Troy and James they called him “scatter brained” from his inability to focus in his classes, sort of a weird kid/loner usually sticks to himself but is willing to talk to anyone who gives him positive attention.

Back story

Early life: jack wallace was the product of a one night stand between two young aspiring musicians residing in New York. he was born in Bellevue hospital August of 1950 and spent the first three years of his life there with his biological parents. his parents at first believed they’d be able to make it as a family but soon realised they didn’t have the time. Or resources to be able to raise a child so Jack was put into the foster system when he was three years old.

Child hood: Jack spent a majority of his childhood in the foster system going from foster family to foster family being moved from state to state. there was a lack of stability in his early life. his experience with the foster care system varies from overall okay foster homes to things he wishes he could block out from his memory.

Current: August of 1964 Jack is placed in the care of Mr.and Mrs. Howard who reside in the not so quiet town of Tulsa Oklahoma. he’s aware of the fact that they’re only keeping him for the money but he doesn’t think he has the right to complain about them since he’s been worse foster homes. When he first moved to Tulsa he had a difficult time acclimating to the town and it’s class wars and may have got into a few scraps by messing with the wrong people but as of now he likes to think he’s found his place as the “class clown”

How his upbringing effected him:

-Jack has a tendency to latch onto people who show him physical affection.

-acts out for attention and doesn’t care if the attention he’s receiving if positive or negative as long as he’s acknowledged.

Secretive: Jack prefers to keep his private life and his social life separate most of his friends don’t know he’s a foster kid and he’s planning on keeping it that way no matter how many lies he has to tell.

Class clown: Jack has gained a reputation as the class clown in his year from his inability to take things seriously and habit of cracking jokes at the wrong time. he isn’t on the best of terms with most of this teachers from disrupting class for the sake of playing the role of the clown for his class mates. he used humour as a coping mechanism for the things he’s gone through and people don’t suspect there’s anything going on with him from his light hearted jokey nature.

Dreamer: Jack is a boy in a small town with big dreams he tries to stay optimistic about his future and often spends his alone time imagining a life filled with fame,fortune and belonging. he secretly prefers the night to day as the silence gives him time to think.

Isolation: despite his popularity and extroverted nature jack suffers from several forms of isolation. his upbringing has caused him to internalise the idea of the people in his life not being permanent so he unintentionally pushes people away out of a fear of getting attached to them to make the transition to the next foster home less painful. due to this he struggles to form deeper connections to people.

Intuition/observant: jack is an empathetic individual and from his observant nature and his own experiences he’s able to spot more subtle signs of abuse, however doesn’t bring it up as he projects his own secretiveness over his status as a foster kid and believes that himself other victims of abuse don’t want their past to be acknowledged and wish to also be seen as a “normal teenager”

Jealousy: Jack is envious of his friends who seem to have stability in their lives as well as a sense of belonging and having a family. he faces intense waves of jealousy over a majority of them not knowing what it’s like to constantly be moved around from state to state and leave everything behind. he’s also jealous of the fact that a lot of the teenagers around him know their place as a Soc or a greaser while he feels like he’s floating somewhere in the middle alone.

“Annoying”: people with like him or they find his loud and unserious nature annoying. jack either doesn’t understand social cues or he just doesn’t care about boundaries because even if you walk away from him from not wanting to interact with him he will keep talking and following you around.

-He has a lot of conflicting emotions surrounding his childhood friends because on one hand he doesn’t them to remember who he used to be but on the other hand he’s relieved they remember him and that he actually meant something to someone.

Before she was stranded in the wilderness Janice was apart of the junior varsity team along with the other extra jackets. she was one of the weaker players on the team because of her unathletic build and severe asthma but she still adored the sport and her friends seemed to enjoy her company. whenever the main team was playing a match she would be sitting on the benches in the rare occasion of an extra player being needed.

Role in the wilderness:

Janice is afraid of being seen as a burden by the others for her asthma so she tries to help them survive in whatever way she can. after her first inhaler runs out and her spare is lost in the cabin fire she tries to refrain from doing activities which are too physically demanding incase she triggers an asthma attack. she’s earned the nickname songbird from the guitar she brought with her on the trip and performs songs for the Yellowjackets to try and lift their spirits, she gets a lot of positive attention from her guitar and has grown used to receiving song requests from her team mates trying to regain a sense of normalcy. At her core she’s an entertainer who’s forced to be a survivor.

Upbringing: Janice moved to Wiskayaok when she was around 12/13 years old.

She came from a middle class background with two parents who unintentionally neglected her through their constant arguments from their not so healthy marriage.

Personality: Janice is an extroverted person she’s a very talkative and chirpy person hence the nickname “songbird” although her outgoing nature can come across as annoying/ overbearing to others. she tries to keep a positive attitude about their situation through her words and songs she hopes she’s managing to convince the others the same.

Jack Wallace headcanons part 2.

Band edition/performing with anachronism!!

-When he’s on stage he wears his “iconic” red scarf on his head like

a bandana because it “looks cooler” although it’s usually wrapped around his neck during band rehearsals and practice.

-He’s in his absolute element whenever he’s performing he feels a thrill of excitement and (happiness) whenever he’s on stage with his friends.

-The reason he joined the band is probably because he overheard the others talking about starting a band and then inserted himself into their conversation and the rest was history.

-would like to write songs for the band but he’s too embarrassed too ask or show them his song writing journal.

Jack Wallace headcanons part 1.

-Jack is secretly envious of his friends with happy or seemingly happy families.

-Almost always seen wearing a red bandana around his neck like a scarf as if it’s a signature look for him. he claims that he thinks it’s cool but he actually wears it in homage to an old image of the man he believes to be his birth father wearing a similar one.

-Jack has tried writing his own songs based off of his feelings and experiences in the past, he has a secret journal under his bed which he keeps for his song writing.

-A lot of people assume that he’s stupid because of his dyslexia and his class clown personality but he’s honestly a lot smarter than people give him credit for. Jack is maths smart it’s one of his best subjects and he almost always scores highly in maths exams, he enjoys the problem solving aspect of it and finds comfort in the fact that in no matter school or state you’re living in maths is always the same.

-Since he’s a foster kid Jacks constantly moving from state to state every few months or years. he tries not to get attached to the place he’s living in as he knows it isn’t a permanent residence for him but he’s grown really attached to his friends in Tulsa. sure would be a shame if he had to leave.

-Jack thinks of his biological parents a lot he often wonders if it’s stupid of him to grieve for two people who he never got to know.

-Jack is very secretive over the fact that he’s a foster kid he claims that his foster parents the Howard’s are his aunt and uncle who he’s living it as a way to explain how he has a different last name to his legal guardians. he’s afraid of what people would think if they found out that his own parents didn’t event want him because if his parents didn’t want him then why would anyone else? nobody in Tulsa knows he’s a foster kid and he’s planning on keeping it that way.

-He’s had braces since he was 13 and finds them really annoying and he hates the slight lisp he has from them.
