This comic is from an AU that we have... in which Marlowe and Talbot survive the events of Iram, but the end of U3 plays out similarly. Marlowe is still (nearly) buried alive, and Talbot, believing that she's dead, still attempts to throw his life away in a final act of vengeance against Drake. This, of course, disturbs Marlowe since Talbot was meant to succeed her as the leader of the organization, and it brings to light his self-destructive nature and how he cares for her over anything else... including her life's work.  By putting no value in his own life, Talbot proves incapable. Essentially, he fails her, because he loves her so deeply.  Marlowe becomes distant and cold, believing that her veiled romance with Talbot ultimately caused his lack of independence. Of course, it also means that it's far too late to start over. What's done is done, and she has to live with the consequences of having chosen Talbot as her lover as well as her second-in-command... a choice that she had difficulty with from the start. Although they still live at her manor, Marlowe begins to ignore Talbot completely, unable to forgive what he's done. It's absolute hell on Talbot, as he's left wondering if they'll ever return to normalcy, or if he could make it up to her somehow. This comic occurs several months after Iram.

Of course it’s Talbot & Marlowe from U3, our OTP, just attempting to escape from a hospital without getting shot… again.

Talbot would have given anything just to reach out and wipe her eyes... to reassure her in some small way, but instead, he stood motionless and numb in front of her desk as she went straight back to her paperwork as if he didn't exist.

This is actually quite an old fic, written when I was going through a really rough time back in 2012. Writing helps to get those feels out! Del recently colored this lovely pic to go along with it, so we thought we'd share.

I've been in a bit of an art slump, so I took this old piece from 2012 and revamped it, painting over it & redrawing the faces. :) Linds told me to post it, so it is only by her graces that you can now enjoy this new & improved saucy Tallowe number~

So this is a Tallowe comic that I drew back in March of 2012! 

It was back when Linds and I were still figuring out our headcanon and she wrote this amazing fic about how Talbot & Marlowe got together. I was so inspired by this particular scene that I had to draw it. Of course, that was before everything was fleshed out.. so I actually drew them Uncharted 3 game-time ages. Once we realized they would be younger (Talbot mid-20s) the comic was highly inaccurate and I just kinda forgot it existed *_*

Then today Linds said “Hay. You should post that comic you drew, people might like it.” I was like.. oh yeah, wasn’t there a reason I didn’t post that? Because they’re all the wrong ages… but then a bolt of inspiration: I could just.. fix it.

So I sat down tonight and redrew all the faces in the entire comic. And now I’m gonna post it before bed so I can’t take it back once I awake in the full dawn of day and realize how barf and personal this is.

But really you should just read Linds’ entire fic: Bloodstained Heart (Some NSFW. Because sexy.)
