Guys!!!! Im alive!!! I’m super sorry for the lack of posts, everyone! I can’t for the life of me keep a consistent presence on here…

I’m in my final semester of my undergraduate studies and it’s been, lack of a better word, destroying me 😞. It’s been incredibly difficult to find the time and motivation to make new art.

Now, as for SDV fanart… while SDV has held a big place in my heart, I’ve moved on to other fandoms and haven’t felt compelled to make fanart for it for a while now. It felt like I was forcing myself to make art for it since those posts usually perform well here. Idk why it feels bad to fully admit it now…

I hope that once summer rolls around I’ll be able to make fanart of my other interests and post more things with my OCs! I know they will never perform as well as my SDV stuff but I’m very thankful to the few people who still like them. I appreciate it a lot! :3

Also: I’m a little more active on BlueSky! I’ve just been re-uploading my OC art but it’s been a pretty chill time there. If any of you happen to use 🦋, stop by and say hi!

So I had a realization… I compiled all of my sdv group stuff and damn... I do a lot of group line-ups. IDK why I like doing them but I'll admit it's satisfying seeing the characters all together like this. I included some of my older pieces to show off my improvement!

YOU DRAW WITH YOUR FINGER????

Yeah! Hear me out though,,

I’ve always been using the iPad for my art but I never tried using a stylus until recently years and it wasn’t really my thing. I always thought of getting a drawing tablet but my PC setup is nonexistent and I’ve gotten so used to drawing with my finger that I never bothered to move on to different art tools 🤷‍♀️

Also a huge factor to why I haven’t learned to use a stylus is because I hold my pencils weird. Like I hold them in a fist. Thus it’s very uncomfortable to draw digitally with a pen 👊

Aven & Sasha art dump~

They’re boyfriends! They’re in love! Y’all don’t understand how much they both mean to me

Now… //ahem// allow me to gush about these two and how they met 😌 … buckle up!

Before the two dated (I know it’s a lot. I tried to be as brief as possible😭)

Aven

Aven first met Sasha when he went to his bakery to replace a bag of pastries he accidentally knocked out of Gwen’s hands (both turned a corner too fast and bumped into each other).

Upon first impressions, Sasha was cheerful and friendly. His voice was warm and smooth like butter. Sasha offered Aven a free muffin and tea just for stopping by! Aven was taken aback and a little skeptical at first, thinking “Why is he being so nice? Why does he keep talking to me? This is all too good to be true”.

After some totally subtle observations and one snack later, Aven decided that Sasha wasn’t someone with bad intentions, in fact, he was surprisingly pleasant (and also kind of cute…). Usually he’d find “friendly” people incredibly obnoxious and loud, but Sasha was reserved and easy-going. Aven tried his best to keep his cool and stoic demeanor but Sasha’s charm got to him and he was, for lack of a better word, lovestruck.

Aven fell. Hard. For Sasha. Because of how emotionally repressed he is, Aven thought he’d just take this crush to the grave rather than admit his feelings. He's used to bottling things up so how would this be any different? His priorities were to always focus on himself and work. Little did he know how in love he was. He just couldn’t get Sasha out of his mind. Sasha’s smile was radiant and his laughter was contagious. His voice was relaxing to listen too and always knew the right words to say to cheer you up. He was hardworking, sincere, generous, and pretty. And the cherry on top… he is an amazing cook! He made Aven feel like there were butterflies in his stomach.

He really wanted to confess but he felt that Sasha deserved someone better than him.

Sasha is literally the sweetest person you could meet, but Aven still has this irrational idea that he is only kind to him out of pity.

Aven always felt that he would never be good enough for anybody. That he'd tarnish all the good things given to him. That everything he does will lead to disappointment.

Aven continually tried to be distant with Sasha… but with much failure

He kept letting his feelings slip out to a point where it was laughably obvious. He’d bring up Sasha in conversations that didn't involve him, give him (so many) gifts, learn how to bake, and be generally pleasant and relaxed with him. Aven is usually cold and irritable with others, but he can’t help but melt over him.

If someone calls him out on liking Sasha, Aven would hard deny it every time (cough// tsundere //cough)

Sasha

Sasha, being the oblivious dummy he is, had Aven’s crush go way over his head. It took ages for him to realize what was going on.

Upon first impressions, Aven was incredibly standoffish. He had a stern expression and an intense glare. His voice was clear and articulate. Sasha found him intimidating. He rarely had vampire customers, especially ones that looked and dressed like Aven (he initially thought he was a critic). Sasha offered him free food to help with impressions.

The two chatted, Aven graciously thanked Sasha for the food and offered to pay for the free stuff and Gwen’s pastries. Sasha insisted that they were on the house. Aven said he’d definitely come again and leaves quickly without another word. (He may have slipped $30 in the tip jar while Sasha wasn’t looking).

Sasha gained a new customer!

Aven became a regular! He’d come by the bakery during his lunch break or whenever he had some time off work. This went on routinely to where Sasha figured out Aven’s schedule and anticipates when he’d show up.

Sasha grew fond of Aven and enjoyed his company. He just... really liked listening to him talk. Aven is eloquent and knowledgeable and could go into great detail on the most random topics. The grumpy, and cold Aven disappears and his more personable and dorky side comes out without him realizing. Sasha found his senseless rambles adorable and his liveliness rewarding to see. Sasha admires Aven’s passion and the type of work he does even if Aven humbly disagrees. Aven always thought sharing his interests was embarrassing as usually no one cared about what he had to say.

Sasha started to develop feelings for Aven, but wasn't sure what those feelings were. He has only ever been interested in women but never considered dating men. It was never something he thought about. One day it clicked, and he got his "Oh" moment (Guess who figured out he was bisexual). 🌈

Sasha wanted to confess too but he thought his feelings were one-sided. He thought Aven was completely out of his league! Aven was pretty, intelligent, wealthy, and magical while Sasha was just an average guy. He even heard Aven say he wasn’t interested in him so that just reaffirmed Sasha to keep to himself (obviously Aven didn’t mean it at all!).

Sasha was better at hiding his feelings... but not that much better. He couldn't help but go out of his way and do nice things for Aven, that's just who he is as a person. He’d start mentioning Aven in conversations that didn’t involve him, read the novels/papers Aven would talk about or recommend, and make food and drinks exclusively for him because Sasha thought he'd like them. Aven thought Sasha was being his typical kind, hospitable self

Sasha would get closer to Aven physically (just tiny things like shuffling his chair closer to Aven’s or leaning in a little more when he talks). Aven is quite skittish when it comes to being touched so Sasha tried to not be too pushy.

If someone suspected him of liking Aven, Sasha would laugh, insist that the two were just friends, and quickly change the subject.

Part 3: 🌈🌈🌈🌈

Now we are at the part where the two have feelings for each other but neither will confess....unless?

Lots of tension, Lots of shenanigans, Lots of trauma-sharing, and Lots of pining ensues. We’re just gonna skip over all this or I’m gonna be here forever 😅

One day Aven couldn’t take it anymore. In the spur of the moment, he rips the bandaid off. He confesses to Sasha that he is in love with him. Sasha is so confused, he was convinced Aven was not interested in him at all and that they were just friends. Aven crumples into himself and spills everything he has bottled up all this time (he’s a teary stuttering mess, he’s not used to being vulnerable like this). Sasha was at a loss for words. After quickly regaining his composure, he embraces Ven and happily reciprocates.🌈

They go out for dinner after🌈

Their dynamic as a couple and fun facts!

Sasha is the more cheerful, charismatic, and patient one of the two while Aven is serious, critical, and quick-tempered.

Aven is the brains and Sasha is the brawn

Aven is the one who gets into more fights while Sasha tries to avoid them

Sasha is a morning person and Aven is a night owl. Sasha is completely knocked out by 11 pm while Aven stays up until midnight. Sasha wakes up at 5 am while Aven sleeps in.

Aven LOVES Sasha’s cooking, especially his baked sweets (crepes are his favourite :3).

Sasha cooks and prepares a work lunch for Aven everyday

Aven tries to teach himself how to cook and bake to impress Sasha…with mixed results

Aven is not the best with expressing his love verbally or physically so he shows it by giving gifts! Bird seed? A new coat? A fancy tea set? Aven will buy it in a heartbeat if he knows Sasha will like it. Sasha appreciates the gifts, but he urges him not to spend so much on him (spare Aven’s wallet pls).

The two have a vegetable garden! Aven didn’t think he’d enjoy gardening at all but he grew to love it.

Sasha’s robins really like Aven! They like to follow him around if Sasha is too busy to give them attention.

Aven doesn’t use magic often outside of work. Excessive use gives him terrible nausea and migraines. When he does use it, Sasha gets very excited. He thinks magic is so cool but wishes Aven was able to use it more often.

They are both workaholics. Aven will try to help Sasha with his prep work, even if he sucks at baking and heavy labour. He encourages Sasha to get out of the bakery more often and take more days off, which Sasha does! Aven likes to plan date nights and activities to get Sasha to keep his mind off of work.

On the other hand, Aven's work is beyond Sasha's comprehension. Necromancy involves lots of magic and death. The best Sash can do is help him destress when he is not working. He gives massages, remedies Ven’s migraines, be a shoulder to cry on, etc.

Sasha loves it when Aven gets excited over things important to him like the latest book series he finished or English literature. Despite not knowing what Aven info-dumps about half the time, Sasha will always listen to him.

Sasha is a HUGE flirt. Every time without fail, the slurry of comments eventually ends with him teasing a beet-red, flustered Aven who is begging him to stop.

Because Sasha is half-human, Aven can drink his blood. He tries to avoid doing this too often because it hurts Sasha. Animal blood is good enough for him anyway. Sasha doesn’t have blood cravings. (sometimes I forget the vampire aspect to all of this lol)
