I hate the plastic surgery industry and how it preys on insecure women and then gives them false solutions like modifying their bodies to fit beauty standards instead of helping people understand they are beautiful and unique as they are and I hate the currently popular narrative that it's ignorant to be against plastic surgery like fillers and Botox because it's actually "empowering" to do what you want with your body even if it's an obvious direct reflection of toxic beauty standards that are also often rooted in oppression and discrimination
It's not coincidence what types of noses are face changes are popular and there's nothing empowering about 18 year olds getting cosmetic surgeries to look like a made up perfect version of themselves instead of being helped to embrace their bodies as they are and the faces and features they have
If it's fucked up for me to say everyone looks better without veneers and butt implants and Botox then I will happily be fucked up - everyone can do what they want but I will not support it or treat it like a kindness that it's becoming normalized and celebrated

It’s never a good time for any app to replicate Twitter but I find it especially mind-boggling that Tumblr and fucking Discord are backpedalling on all of their unique and good features in order to become a clone of a website that is actively losing money and most of their userbase.
Discord is especially egregious considering that it’s NOT EVEN A FUCKING SOCIAL MEDIA WEBSITE. IT’S A GODDAMN MESSAGING APP. It’d be like if whatsapp decided to recommend other family group chats for you via an algorithm

People are often surprised I speak four languages but I consider it to be fairly average for where I'm from so now I'm curious
*if you're confused whether a language counts or not, ask yourself if you can hold a basic conversation in it. If not, and you can only understand but not speak it, skip it.
#3 bcs i could probably hold at least a written conversation in danish if i tried at all#its just we're cursed as swedes to never be able to pronounce the words correctly#i know the language i dont *just* understand it by ear or reading#i do also speak it im just an idiot with naught a drop of danish left in my skanian soul#:( and thats on cultural erasure and attempted genocide (not to be morbid but its true)#the other two are swedish and English obviously#fluent since forever#im not counting norwegian despite how its basically danish' twin - only cause i've never actually taken any course to test it out forreal#otherwise i would: top grades in 1year danish class yet the fact that i live across the water from ur birthplace didnt give me a head start#on another note i'd love to keep learning korean cause i was at basic conversation level a couple years ago#i just dropped it completely#if we didnt have shit spanish classes at my school i probably would be more than conversational now too#and i also wanna learn arabic!! i'll make grandad teach me if so my life depends on it#he almost never speaks it now but whenever he gets the chance he does so he clearly hasn't forgotten that much in 40 years#should we make that 7 languages then? 8 if i decide to learn sign (cause i really really want to if im able to) 9 if i keep going w conlang

Please tell me that a season 3 of Good Omens is confirmed. I beg of you Mr. Gaiman.
It won't be confirmed unless enough people watch Season 2 to make Amazon happy. And it's strike season, which makes everything harder.
But obviously Season 3 is all planned and plotted and, if I get to make it, will take the story and the people in it we care about to a satisfying end. If I wasn't on strike I'd be writing it currently. Our set is still standing in a studio in Bathgate and we would all love to get back there and finish the story in the way Terry and I plotted, long ago.
