The Restart novel doesn't capture the sheer weirdness of Liu Sang nearly as well as the short story (interspersed with other shorts) about him set after Restart. I so want this Liu Sang (played by Liu Chang of course) to show up on screen someday.

Also, Tu Dian's love of ruining other people's days well deserves having his bombastic murderous plan utterly ruined by Liu Sang's disinterest in listening to him. nods

This kind of darkness…Hob can’t remember the last time he was able to experience it. There isn’t even the flickering glow of torches to light the streets as had been the case in most of his memories of the city. He ponders briefly when the last time anyone had been able to see the night sky like this in London and his chest aches with longing to share this sight with Dream. OR Hob navigates the crumbling, near post-apocalyptic world and tackles the search for Dream head-on, but is only able to make headway through roundabout means.

Childhood mental illness is such a weird thing because on one hand I my development is fucked enough that I can't really feel things normally which sucks but on the other hand literally nothing feels bad in comparison. Like the worst pain I can imagine happened when I was like twelve, my biggest problems now can't even compare. It's a very peaceful way to live tbh.

@podcasts-8-my-heart asked about this in the tags and i've been thinking about this way too long so fyi there is a.... matt murray who is a goaltender playing for the texas stars right now (dallas ahl affiliate). we got him from umass where he won a national championship in 2020, and he got named ahl's player of the week in the first week he went pro. more importantly in 2019 he went to the penguins 2019 dev camp where we got these pictures out of it
