Investing in yourself: How to romanticise school and study effectively ‎♡‧₊˚✧
Hey there, girlies! Are you struggling to find the right study habits to help you succeed? Don't worry, I've got you covered! Today, we're going to chat about how to make school and studying much more bearable and effective.
Part 1: Romanticising school
School's a marathon, not a race. If you want to do well in your studies, you'll have to build a consistent study habit, and there's no better way to do that than making studying enjoyable. If you like studying (or at least don't find it to be a painful chore!), it'll make sticking to a regular study schedule much easier.
1. Set the scene: create your aesthetic study space
First things first, let's talk about your study space. If you're gonna be spending hours with your nose buried in books, you might as well make it cute and cozy. Decorate your desk with fairy lights, candles, and inspirational quotes. Add some plants for that extra touch of zen.
2. Make a study playlist: set the mood with music
There's nothing like a good playlist to get you in the zone. Create a study playlist with your favorite calming tunes or lo-fi beats. Let the music transport you to your own little world of learning. Just try not to sing along too loudly, or you might forget what you're studying.
3. Take pretty notes: color code your way to success
Nobody said your notes have to be boring. Get your hands on some colorful pens, highlighters, and sticky notes to make your notes pop. Not only will it make studying more enjoyable, but it'll also help you remember better.
4. Breaks: treat yourself
It's important to take regular breaks to avoid burnout. Take a short break every 45-60 minutes to recharge and refocus. Don't forget to also schedule longer breaks to stretch, grab a snack, or watch an episode of your fave TV show. Reward yourself for your hard work with a treat or face mask.
5. Find your study squad: friends who study together, slay together
Studying doesn't have to be a solo mission. Find your study squad and make learning a social event. Host cute study dates or virtual study sessions with your besties. You'll be able to help each other out, share tips, and have a good laugh together in between all the learning.
Part 2: Studying effectively
Now that we've made studying enjoyable, it's time to make it effective. After all, having a regular study schedule isn't going to do much if you're not getting much progress despite all the hours you spend studying.
1. Make a study schedule
One of the most important aspects of developing good study habits is setting a regular study schedule. This will help you establish a routine and make studying a regular part of your day. Determine what times of day you're most productive and schedule your study sessions accordingly.
2. Use active studying techniques
Rather than just reading and memorizing information, practice active learning by engaging with the material in a variety of ways. Take notes, draw diagrams, create flashcards, or teach the material to someone else. This will help you better understand and retain the information you're studying.
3. Stay organised
Staying organized is key to developing good study habits. Keep track of your assignments, deadlines, and study materials in a planner or digital app. Use color-coding or labeling to keep your notes and materials organized and easily accessible.
4. Get enough sleep
Finally, getting enough sleep is essential for developing good study habits. Aim for 7-9 hours of sleep each night to help you feel refreshed and alert during your study sessions. Avoid staying up late cramming for exams, as this can actually hinder your ability to retain information.
Remember, everyone has their own unique way of studying effectively. Experiment with different techniques and find what works best for you. With these tips, you'll be well on your way to success! Good luck, gorgeous!

Life hacks teenage girls needs to know ₊˚⊹♡
Hey girlies! I'm here to share my top life hacks that will definitely make a difference in your day-to-day life. These life hacks will save you time, money, and stress. Trust me, you'll thank me later! ;)
Use a hair straightener to iron your clothes in a pinch. If you're running late and your top is wrinkled, just run a hair straightener over it a few times to smooth it out.
Make your own dry shampoo. If you're in a rush and don't have time to wash your hair, mix together some cornstarch and cocoa powder and sprinkle it on your roots. Brush through your hair to distribute the powder and voila! Your hair will look clean and smell great.
DIY lip scrub. Ever wish your lips were super smooth and soft? Mix some sugar and honey to make your own lip scrub, and gently massage it on your lips. Rinse it off, and you'll be left with kissably soft lips!
Make your perfume last. Love smelling amazing all day long? Apply Vaseline or an unscented lotion on your pulse points before spraying your perfume. It'll help the scent stick to your skin better and last longer!
Nail polish life saver! Ever paint your nails and then smudge them like two seconds later? Ugh, so annoying. Next time, try dipping your freshly painted nails in ice-cold water for a minute. It'll help your polish dry faster and reduce the chances of smudging.
Freeze grapes or bananas for a healthy snack. Frozen grapes and bananas are like mini popsicles, and they're a lot healthier than sugary snacks.
Use a lint roller to clean your keyboard. If your keyboard is full of crumbs and dust, roll a lint roller over it to pick up all the dirt.
Use a shower cap to cover your shoes when packing. If you're going on a trip and don't want your dirty shoes touching your clean clothes, slip them into a shower cap before packing them in your suitcase.
Use a rubber band to open a stubborn jar. Wrap a rubber band around the lid of the jar and twist. This will give you more grip and make it easier to open.
As always, feel free to add any other life hacks you know in the comments! Have a lovely and relaxing weekend, you guys!! 𓏲 ࣪₊♡𓂃

8 Rules for Self-Respect
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Keep your standards high. For yourself, your relationships, your career, and everything. Don't settle for less; know your worth. <3
Don't tolerate people who put you down, lie to you, or try to take advantage of you. The more you allow people to mistreat you, the less they will respect you. Stand up for yourself!!
Don't chase. What belongs to you will find you, and the people who care for you will stay by your side. So don't make a fool out of yourself by chasing something that's running away from you.
No more people pleasing. Learn to say "no". You don't have to apologise or explain yourself; saying no is completely fine.
Figure out which people in your circle make you feel good and who is draining your energy. Don't surround yourself with those who waste your energy.
Take care of yourself. How are you going to be confident and respect yourself if you don't care for yourself?? Invest time, energy, discipline, money and love into becoming the best version of yourself. <3
Be mindful and selective of who you trust. Don't take criticism from people who you would take advice from.
Your boundaries are non-negotiable. Boundaries are about how you respect yourself. If someone oversteps them, cut them off!
2023 is our year of self-growth, what better place to start than setting boundaries and learning to respect ourselves? Wishing everyone a successful and beautiful January!! <3

sunday is a time to relax 🫶🏼
Reset Sunday guide :
Tumblr media
disconnect : Starting by turning off your notifications, this is YOUR time you need to focus on you and only you. You could also delete social media at least for the day, works even better. Don’t answer any message unless it is something urgent, people need to respect your time.
Set the mood : Get comfortable and set a calm and relaxing mood by lighting some candles, putting on a comfortable outfit which makes you feel pretty, turning on some music, anything that puts you in the right mood for taking care of yourself.
Self care: Now you can start taking care of yourself. Start the longest skin care ever (don’t forget the neck), hydrate your whole body (damage from winter cold is no joke), take vitamins, put on a hair mask, paint your nails, massage your face while the mask is on, don’t forget to drink a lot of water.
Clean your space : While your masks and creams are on, you can start tidying up your place. Your mind is clearer when your working space is clean. Don’t forget to spray some perfume in your room for the final touch.
Prepare things for tomorrow : if you have work or classes tomorrow you can pick out your clothes the night before and organize your bag, that way you won’t be in a rush when you’re leaving the next day.
Relax : Now that everything is settled it is time to relax. Go watch Netflix under a warm blanket while drinking hot chocolate, listen to a podcast while doing yoga, go for a walk… Find something that makes you feel calm and relaxed and enjoy that moment !

Ask Malu ₊˚⊹♡
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Since I've been getting so so many asks, I had the idea to make a little summary every Sunday to answer your questions; feel free to submit more!! <3
Anon asked: hi! Any advice for people who want to try the Pink Pilates Princess aesthetic but don't look good in Pale pink? I'm a ginger, and a lot of colours crash with my hair; do you have any advice for how I can adopt this aesthetic without looking like a clown?
You can choose whatever colour makes you feel the most beautiful!! For more neutral tones, you can look up 'Green juice girl' or 'clean girl', 'Vanilla girl' is also on the rise rn!! Blue or autumn tones might be pretty if you like something more colourful! Ginger hair is beautiful I'm sure you won't look like a clown <33
@plantlifezasked: What's your sun sign?
I'm an Aquarius sun and moon and a Leo rising! <3
Anon asked: Favorite blogs? Blogs that inspire your content? :)
I hate to say this, but I actually don't keep up with any blog; since I spend so much time on my own socials, I try to consume as little as possible! I pretty much grew up on Tumblr since my parents worked a lot, so most of my inspo comes from what I read in my early teens ( I feel so old for saying that help). The ideas for my own content rn come either from what I feel like writing or from requests!! <33
Anon asked: Hi hi! Do you have any tips/advice for someone whos starting barre classes, please? :)
Be prepared to be extremely sore after your first classes!! I would advise you to focus on stretching as ballet-inspired exercises get easier when you improve your flexibility! Also, make sure to warm up properly; you can wear warm clothes like sweatpants and hoodies during warmups to prevent injuries!! Good luck with your new hobby <33
@ivy-paintdr2ps asked: Hey, I'm a vent blog, are you comfortable with me following you? totally understand if not!! have a good day <;33
I honestly have no idea what that is, haha; as long as you're not a creep and don't intend to hurt others, you're very welcome on my blog! <3
Anon asked: Hey, can you help me with how to look people in the eyes? I struggle with eye contact; I think it's my shyness, and I always talk with my head down.
Eye contact can be tough! Focus on one eye if you don't know where to look! If you want to make someone uncomfortable, look at their forehead. Practice with your close friends, stare down creepy guys on the bus, and look the cashier in the eyes while wishing them a lovely day! <3
Anon asked: How do I live the Pink Pilates Princess lifestyle on a budget?
I made a post for you! :)
Anon asked: How do you get motivated or disciplined to study? I always Procrastinate and end up sleeping in my bed after telling myself ill study.
Set yourself goals and visualize your dream career.
Delete TikTok. I found TikTok to be a huge distraction, so I deleted it.
I like keeping my room cold when studying, I don't know why.
Take cute and aesthetic notes, this may sound silly, but as a creative person, this really helped me!
Get in touch with your teachers; if you don't understand something, either ask in class or email them.
Eat and drink enough, so you can actually focus! <3
Anon asked: What's your bucket list like? I'm trying to try out as many things as I can before the year ends! <3
I've actually already accomplished most of my goals for 2022, but here are a few things I would like to do!
revisiting Oslo
Try figure skating
read 5 more books
learn how to do acrylic nails
Anon asked: How do you deal with jealousy and seeking validation in your life?
Try to use jealousy as motivation; instead of envying someone, try learning from them! Validation was always a big one for me, academics, music, art, sports, or relationships. For me, the most important step to get away from that was gaining confidence; this may take a few years but don't lose focus! <33 I will make a more in-depth post soon :)
I hope everyone has a beautiful and relaxing Sunday! Take some time for yourself, reflect on the past week and prepare for what is ahead.

How to touch some grass
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A guide for chronically online girlies who spend every second of their life scrolling through Tumblr. (no front, I love you <3)
Go on a walk. Fresh air, baby!
Lay in the sun. Or in the rain, since it's autumn.
Read a book. Only if you are able to with your goldfish TikTok attention span, lol. <3
Draw Something. I challenge you to draw a cat. send it to me on Twitter @ malusokay and I'll draw a better one. try me.
Try learning a new language. A date with the Duolingo bird.
Go to the theatre alone. Sit in one of those couple seats and stare at the cringy couples while eating popcorn; ignore the movie lmao.
Clean your room. Or reorganize it!
Climb a tree. At your own risk.
Make yourself some tea. Maybe host a tea party!
Try a new hairstyle. I've been trying those low space buns jk?
Bake a cake. Like a fancy and cool one!
Throw your phone into a lake and try to find it. :)
Workout or do yoga. Pilates can be fun too.
Try making friends in irl. This is a tough one, I'm sorry. <3
Paint your nails. Mine are black rn!
Start planning your birthday. Or write your Christmas wishlist.
Go get a coffee. Make your way to your local cafe and try something new! <3
Try learning how to crochet. I've been crocheting makeup bags, lmao.
Do your skincare routine. Do a face mask, and take time for yourself. <3
Make a smoothie. I'll give you a recipe... Banana, raspberries, strawberries, yoghurt for protein, your milk of choice and some coconut flakes as a topping!
Do your homework. So you can be lazy without feeling guilty.
Water your plants. They did nothing wrong... come on.. :(
Go to Ikea. Who doesn't love IKEA?? (not sponsored, lol)
Don't judge me, I wrote this at 3am, and I have the flu. It was fun tho haha.
