I gotta say I really appreciate how the HDWR final chapter handled Yuria's ending after her relationship with Saeko ended.
Framing her as Aromantic was actually something I did not expect when I read their breakup initially. Honestly I wasn't a huge fan of the breakup when I read it because it read to me like her reason for separating (At least how she put it) was that she was depressed, and that having Saeko around prevented her from wallowing in that depression, which is obviously not good. Instead in an Aro frame it makes it more that she prefers handling her issues and inner demons on her own, and that having someone around just makes her feel worse for having those issues instead, which I honestly relate to way more.
It's kind of funny that I didn't expect it considering I am aro myself, but I think it might just be that when I am reading Romantic stories I put that concept out of mind entirely to try and get into the story since I am not going to relate to the romantic feelings that much anyway.
