My only-posting-twice-a-year photo is here! DG Nobel Ice Egg showing off for her new profile on the DG Crown website. This cute girl is sister to one of my favorite horses, now owned by another member of the community. I loved that original mare so much that I bred my mare back to the stud I had used. Thus Bell was born! She is a 6 year old Dutch Warmblood and currently competing in dressage here and there.

ESS-NA Dressage show entries from Equiality Sims forum. Very fun show where riders and horses had to dress up in dark red and gold colors. Our new horses got their first outing with good placings. The first entry is QREC Dialon, a sport pony that was a surprise gift from a friend, and placed second overall. The second entry is Grand Kaliber FV, a young Dutch Warmblood, who placed in the middle of the class.

Colette and Bakenthyme's Ghiaccio Nero practicing their passage California has become quite unpredictable in its weather lately, its either 90° or 60° every day. Local vets are prepped for the onslaught of colic calls and everyone is keeping a careful eye on their horses. Dessa, as one of the few black horses on the property, is used to getting up early to get a ride in before it becomes unbearably hot. In the height of the summer, riders will have to wake up before the sun so they can start riding at the crack of dawn, and of course this happens only when the air quality is clear thanks to the infamous California wildfires.
