tbh i think whatever love rhaenyra has for alicent is just tainted with everything that’s happened between them and can never be acted on. i personally didn’t hate the way they made alicent visit her on dragonstone like some of the fandom did because it just perfectly highlighted that they’ve almost swapped places. alicent in part two of season one was vengeful and cruel but now she’s tired and realised how she’s been used by all the men around her for nothing. and rhaenyra in s1 and after luke’s dead was just tired and grieving, but now (and definitely after future deaths) she’s had enough and she’s definitely going to be stepping up even more and now she is the one bound by duty (that scene of her trapped under history while alicent is free under the sky OMG). i think that she feels sorry for what happened to alicent when they were children but can’t really forgive her for the hand she had in luke’s death and whatever love they have is just so broken down by all the years of abuse and hatred. i personally think the saddest thing about them is that it was never going to work out. when young rhaenyra wants to fly away young alicent passes it off as a joke and by the time she has realised all the wrong that’s been done and wants to leave, rhaenyra is hardened by grief and loss and refuses to give up her rightful throne. but this is just my personal opinion!!

read someone online say they think that the quarter quell was only introduced because of something that happened in the 24th hunger games. and we know the first quarter quell forced the districts to chose who was reaped, so what if something like peeta and katniss defying the capitol happened and it caused the districts to turn against the capitol almost like they did in the rebellion so snow chose that theme to turn the districts against themselves and each other.
