30 Day OC challenge: day 2

Day Two— Job: What does your OC do for a living? If they don’t have a job, then what do they usually do?

Rayne Monroe:

Rayne has only had three, very lowkey jobs in her life since she’s only eighteen.

Her first job was during in her time in Camp Half-Blood. She was cabin counsellor for the Zeus cabin, or cabin one. There were few other children or grandchildren of Zeus so the job was pretty lax.  She attended meetings with Chiron and Dionysus to discuss quests, missions and how to improve the camp, welcomed new campers and stayed in charge of her cabin-mates

Her second job, a few months later, was teaching archery to new campers. She is an incredible archer and after the previous teacher, Chiron, decided to give it up, campers thought she would be the best fit for the job. She stuck to basic skills with the newcomers and helped the older ones find their flow and style, how to shoot human and animal (and monster) targets and whch place, when hit with an arrow, was most fatal. Some were not happy with her being appointed to this position, as she accidentley fired an arrow that killed a sacred deer when she was 13.

Since leaving camp, Rayne has taken up a part-time job in the casino’s restaurant, playing piano whiel people dine.

30 Day OC challenge: Day 1

Day One— Introduction: Introduce your OC to everyone! What’s their name? What species are they? 

Rayne Monroe.

Rayne Monroe is a eighteen-year-old girl, daughter of a Lotus-Eater, or Lotaphagus chief and a Demi-God daughter of Zeus. Quite the combination. Rayne was born to her father, Richard Monroe and her mother, Hailey Monore-Wisp on April 11th, 1999.

Rayne has brown wavy hair that she kept long until she was 13, when she cut it herself to be up her ears and have long, messy bangs. It is currently around her collarbones/shoulders and she has grow out her bangs. She has a smattering of freckles across her sunkissed skin and the classic, Monroe-family-green eyes. 

She is about 5′5″-6″ with quite an average figure for a girl her age. She had mild acne which she despised until she was sixteen. She has also stayed the same height since she was abour fourteen.

In regards to her species, she has powers hailing from both. From her mother and grandfather she got the ability to control storms and some forms of weather such as wind and lighting. She cannot fly. Her powers from her father and her lotus tatto that all Lotaphagi possess did not appear until she was seventeen, and met her current partner, Janson Alrois. Her lotus tattoo is quite thin, almost like a hanging mandala from her nape to just between her shoulder blades. It varies in colour, from classic black ink to a shimmery gold.

Rayne is quite confident and intelligent but often gets bouts of anxiety and panic but it was regulated and normal. She suffers from migraines sometimes too. Her intelligence is often underrated as is her muscle power and strenght. She laughs a lot, her laugh is quite breathy, giggly and childish. She is a bit of a prude and can act either way too mature or way too immature. There is no inbetween.

She speaks English and French and reads a lot in her spare time as well as playing piano. She spends most of her free time, as of late, in her family’s casino with her parents, twin brothers and boyfriend.

Tog squad in the supermarket.

Aelin: Pushing the trolley /really/ fast down empty aisles, then jumping onto it and speeding through the shop like a crazy lady.

Rowan: Taking out all the sweets Lysandra has snuck into the trolley and putting them back. Also snacking on food they haven bought yet because he needs to "fuel his godly bod"

Lysandra: The one who sneaks bags of coco pops, Oreos and jellies into the cart and acts innocent, although everybody knows she did it.

Aedion: Spends all his time filling the trolley with protein bars, protein powder, protein milk, kale, avocados, chia seeds and eggs. "I gotta get ripped bro. My body is a temple."

Manon: Putting in packets of raw meat. Her eyes going wide every time she catches a scent similar to it. Eats the meat raw as soon as they get home.

Dorian: Actually buying things for meal prep. Has a shopping list, a trolley and a baby with a cheerio necklace to keep it quiet. He is the mom™ and has his shit together. Wants to speak to the manager about his coupons that are for some reason, "not valid."

Chaol: In the toy aisle, curiously poking the children's toys, and getting freaked out when they make noise, and falling into shelves behind him, knocking everything over, and making the noises louder.
