I was rereading a fic from one of my favorite authors on ao3 lamenting on how they haven't posted in a while BUT THEN I GOT AN EMAIL THAT THEY POSTED I'm going to be eating good tonight 😋

Anyways. be soooo fucking fr. you are not special and helping out the people in the world who need help rn by voting green party. any candidate on the ballot is, in fact, going to give money to Israhell whether we like it or not! boo fucking hoo, I know, it genuinely sucks and is awful having to sit by and watch what's going on in the world being unable to get a chance to at least put a stop to the horrific things that are happening with our own funding. I'm not denying that. but you are SHOOTING YOURSELF IN THE FOOT if you vote green this election by wanting to be progressive. you have been handed a gun and are CHOOSING to point it at your own foot and pull the trigger. THAT'S HOW TRUMP FUCKING WON IN 2016. BECAUSE PEOPLE VOTED GREEN. BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T LIKE HILLARY.

Politicians do not work for you, despite it being literally their job description. They care about themselves and the people in similar positions that give them money. Both options, no matter the year or the people, are going to feel like bad options because we all know that at this point. But I'd rather be able to live my life as freely as I can then have to watch as my world comes crumbling apart and elect a want to be dictator.

The only saving grace is that Trump is genuinely so fucking stupid that he probably won't be able to do a good half of what he has "promised" but the half that he could accomplish would still be literally fucking terrifying. I know it's already a bit too late to say this, late in the day and I'm sure polls have already closed, but let's use our fucking heads. for like. one moment here. now is not the time to be stupid.
