yes, it took me literally like two years to do, but for anyone ever finding this post again, i present to you: the tma clue expansion pack! allows for up to 10 players with significantly more hazards in the hallways.

you can see the-zenith-calls’ original post here for a few more details.

elaborations on text on below:

Gerry Kaey:

lose turn refers to your next turn. you also cannot go anywhere else when you are stood in the hallway away pulling Gerry.

do randomly select a card the selected player to share can just shuffle their hand around a bit and fan them out face down for the one who pulled the card to pick from. if you see information you already knew that’s just really unfortunate.

Nikola:

if you are playing as Tim, you lose your next turn, as well as not being moved anywhere the turn you draw this card. he literally died i’m sorry.

Rosie, Jon, Martin, Tim:

if you pull the card for the person you’re playing as, you may choose whether or not you want to go to the move marked (optional). if you don’t, your turn ends.

Georgie:

Georgie is the exception to the above rule. she’s essentially just a roll again instead.

(old cards) Elias, Melanie, Daisy, Basira:

technically as per my new rules if you pulled these cards as your character you’d have the option of going to a room for them as well.

Elias - Elias’s Office (optional)

Melanie - Archives (optional)

Daisy - Tunnel Entrance (optional)

Basira - Library (optional)

(old card) Not-Them:

when playing Sasha(?) and pulling the Not-Them, you flip a coin instead of having the option. if Heads, you go to Artefact Storage. if Tails, you are unaffected and your turn ends.

below is a series of screenshots of my notes. they say the same things as the cards, just typed in case my handwriting is worse than i think. and there’s like two or three other old cards i wanted to alter for balancing but i’m not making more cards so whatever.

In collaboration with @the-zenith-calls and @tecceran , I present The Magnus Archives themed Clue!! We spent several hours over the course of a couple weeks working on this, and play tested it properly for the first time last night. Check out both of their blogs for details of what they made (when theirs are posted I will link them here as well), and below the cut I will be putting details of my contributions :]

Firstly, the weapons tokens. These were just cut out of cardboard in the style of the tokens that are included in my Star Wars Clue set

I was also responsible for room cards! Of these, Jon’s Office and the Archives are my favorites

We also have varying hallway cards, based on a mechanic in my Star Wars Clue, again.

The backs of the cards had to get covered somehow because markers bleed, so the hallway cards are plain black and the other cards have eye designs on them

I also formatted and printed out detective note sheets and an Instructions booklet! Details on the instruction booklet will end up in a reblog because I'm running out of images oops. Most of the instructions are just copied word for word from my Clue set instructions, with some alterations made, except for completely made up mechanics, which the-zenith-calls wrote and I reworded if necessary and formatted nicely.

Kohane Azusawa is the daughter of a powerful crime family, but she wants out of her parents’ life of violence, even if it means forgoing wealth. she tries to run away across the country to live with friends she met online, but is stopped at the bus stop by men from her family’s organization, there to escort her back home.

Akito Shinonome dreams of escaping his boring life where his career and hobbies are all dictated by his parents — in the name of guaranteeing him financial security, of course. when a girl at his bus stop is seemingly being harassed by a random group of men, he is spurred to jump to her rescue. he manages to get her onto one of the men’s motorbikes with him, intending to make a quick escape.

when the men not only pursue, but fire bullets at them, Akito realizes he might be in over his head. but be it the girl clinging to his waist or that fire in his heart longing for something more, for some reason he agrees to help her escape across the country. and he just might find a fresh start for himself as well…

at first Kohane doesn’t ask why this boy would be so willing to abandon his family and risk his life to help her, she’s just grateful. but during their journey they save each other’s lives, get closer, come to some realizations about what they’ve left behind, and eventually they’ll have to make a decision about what they’re going to do when they actually reach their destination—if they make it at all.

i’m not much of a writer these days but if i were to write a fic about this AU i’d want it to be one of those fics that’s truly an experience and the ending is sorta ambiguous in such a way that it makes you realise it was really about the journey and the ending doesn’t actually matter.

and i’m also a big fan of the “live-changing road trip with a stranger” trope that i’m not sure i can call a trope because i can only think of two examples, but i like it a lot anyways.

hopefully i am not too late to the party, but i came bearing gifts! i’m really slow with art so even tho i had this idea it took me a while to get it.

when i saw that both costumes had what looked ike leather jackets i immediately thought of bikers. but then as i was working i had more thoughts and it became a bigger thing.

the real premise of the AU is that Kohane is running away from some group for some reason (i didn’t work that part out) and has to travel across the country to a safe place. just as she is about to hop on a bus, this group catches up with her and tries to take her back. Akito also happened to be about to catch that bus, and he jumps in to defend Kohane. he steals one of their bikes and they drive away. apparently Akito is a natural bc he has never been on a motorbike before this. and so he ends up agreeing to help Kohane safely escape across the country. and they catch feelings during their crazy roadtrip.

they buy helmets and get kohane some bike shorts. i can’t make my girl go this whole time riding a bike in just a skirt.

➥ was actually watching someone stream ffviir while drawing this and they got to the pillar so reno was on screen and i was inspired to draw the suit. toya would be rude. partners moment. i can see toya pulling out the second pair of identical sunglasses after the first breaks (does the pillar sequence imply he gets them fixed or there’s a third pair of matching sunglasses?)

➥ i don't always draw dyed hair akito. i do like the headcanon it just depends on my mood at time of drawing. but reno apparently canonically dyes his hair (cause yknow magic and whatever is cool but a guy with red hair is pushing it) so did that. was originally ena's hair color but then i decided to try crazy colors.

woagh. simultaneously feels like this blog has been running for ages and 1 year feels like it should be so much further away. past 2-3 years for me have felt absolutely wild time wise, and you would think having a consistent reminder of the days passing would help that, but it didn’t really! (lol)

i know this blog doesn’t have a crazy amount of followers (we’re very near to 300 actually!) but i’m nonetheless super thankful for the support i’ve received! i really appreciate everyone who’s left little comments or jokes, or done any kind of lil art / edits <3

also super thankful for all the attention chibi akito’s adventures gets! it’s really fun for me to make and to see that other people are having fun engaging with it.

(gonna get kinda parasocial and The Serious now..) i’ve enjoyed making art and other creative projects for pretty much my whole life, but as i’ve gotten more into adulthood, experienced some big loss in the family, and basically become depressed, making art has been harder. i don’t do it very frequently and i do miss it. even this year vs. last i’ve stopped doodling my favorite characters and OCs on my notes almost entirely. some of that does have to do with with my classes being taught in a different style (cough cough looking at you matthew) but yeah. ✨ depression ✨ and like i’m all good, i have very supportive friends and a therapist, but i’m just really thankful for chibi akito’s adventures giving me a creative outlet that i am able to engage with and really enjoy!! (and i am feeling a bit on the up and up. i’ve been getting really into my digital photography class. kohane moment. and i’ve been rekindling my twewy phase, so there’s a chance for more art there…)

also i guess i would be remiss not to say…to my knowledge, this blog has never missed a day—i have a perfect record, and i think that’s pretty cool and commendable!
