Carvaan Saregama Premium- Portable Music Player with 5000 Preloaded Review.
In today’s times, people who grew up in the 1940s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s feel nostalgic about the music of their respective eras. And why not – after all, we have witnessed the golden period of Indian music and everything it brought along. India is a diverse country with diverse cultures and people who like different things. So even when we talk about music, people’s preferences are varied.
Tumblr media
Saregama introduced Carvaan, a modern music player that was launched in 2017 with an aim to satiate people’s want for a high-tech digital speaker that not only served as a music player but also as a bank of the most wonderful music India has to offer.
From the gramophone and transistor to cassettes, CDs, MP3 players, and iPods, the mediums through which music could be accessed have evolved rapidly. Saregama moved away from the norm to offer a portable audio player that packed a mighty punch with its product, Carvaan. A music player that won the Innovation of the Year award and continues to make waves, this retro digital audio player is perfect for every household and every individual who loves music.
Saregama Carvaan, in essence, is a portable music player that comes preloaded with over 5,000 music tracks, including retro classics by legends such as Lata Mangeshkar, RD Burman, Kishore Kumar, Manna Dey, Asha Bhosle, Mohd Rafi, Jagjit Singh, and Mukesh. Sorted and classified neatly into categories like artists, genres, and moods (Happy, Sad, Romantic, Sufi, etc.), the user can listen to their preferred music anytime, anywhere.
The Carvaan player also includes Ameen Sayani’s timeless ‘Geetmala Ki Chhaon Mein’ collection in 50 volumes, as his silken voice takes you on a journey of Hindi film music from 1952 to 2000. Sayani shares interesting tidbits of his experience at Asia’s oldest radio station – Radio Ceylon. Carvaan also provides you with an option to listen to FM radio, connect your Bluetooth or plug in your own USB device, and enjoy any other kind of music you like.
Whether you like spending your days listening to good music, or like a bit of soothing music before hitting the bed, or prefer to have some music playing in the background while you work or go about your daily chores, or wish to own a music player that you can carry around on trips, walks, treks and excursions – Saregama Carvaan is a perfect choice.
How to connect Bluetooth With Carvaan?
Press the Bluetooth button provided on Carvaan’s side panel
Turn your phone Bluetooth on
Search for available devices
Select the Saregama Carvaan Bluetooth device and pair it with your phone’s Bluetooth
Once it says ‘BT Device Paired’, you can play music through your phone on the Carvaan
Tumblr media
How to add songs? It is not possible to add songs within the Carvaan’s built-in memory. However, the music player gives you a handy option with its USB feature. To listen to your favourite songs that are not already a part of Carvaan’s preloaded bank of music, you can copy your tracks on a USB device (pen drive) and simply connect it and play. Alternatively, you can play the songs saved on your phone or memory card by connecting the Bluetooth to Carvaan and using the music player as a high-quality speaker.
How to use Saregama Carvaan?
For first-time users, it is important to first charge the music player to ensure that the battery is full before you start using it. On average, a fully-charged Carvaan battery can provide up to 5 hours of operation.
Plug in the adaptor into a power socket
Insert the other end of the cable into the micro-USB port at the back
Turn the switch on to start charging the device
The light next to the power button will light up
Once this light goes off (automatically), it means your Carvaan is fully charged
You can now access the preloaded songs on the player
Alternatively, you can tune into FM stations, plug in your USB device or connect Bluetooth to play music
Depending on what mode you want to use, you can press the respective buttons and get started in a jiffy! You can also use the remote (available with select variants only) or the big dial provided on the front panel to scroll through folders, change radio stations or FM channels and switch between artistes/moods/Geetmala options.
Tumblr media
To put it in simple words, it is your vintage transistor with a contemporary makeover that allows you to listen to your favourite music from different eras and genres – nonstop, without ads!

Saregama understands that one size doesn’t fit all, since we are so diverse in our choices and musical preferences. To address this, the company has introduced several different models of Saregama Carvaan – to cater to the different tastes of listeners.

Samsung Galaxy M32 review
The M32 shares a whole lot with the Galaxy A32, like a 90Hz Super AMOLED Full HD+ display, MediaTek Helio G80 chipset, and a 64MP rear camera, but there are a few changes. Samsung has upgraded two key features: You get a larger battery (6,000 mAh vs 5,000 mAh), and support for 25W fast charging even if the box comes with a 15W charger. Samsung has also downgraded a couple of specs. The 5MP macro and 5MP depth cameras on the back have been replaced by 2-megapixel sensors, but considering both of those cameras are gimmicks that don’t bring much to the table anyway, I wouldn’t call these downgrades, especially when you’re getting something much, much better in return – the bigger battery and faster charging, as mentioned above.
Plus, the Galaxy M32 starts at around $70 lower than the Galaxy A32 for the base variant, and that instantly makes it a much better deal on paper. But is that enough to make this phone worthy of your attention? Well, that’s the question I’m going to answer in this review. However, unlike our usual reviews, this will be a short one, given just how much the M32 is similar to the Galaxy A32.
What we like
Excellent Super AMOLED display
90Hz refresh rate makes scrolling smooth... when it works
Versatile camera setup with good daylight performance
Terrific battery life
25W super fast charging support
Android 11 and One UI 3.1 out of the box
Decent gaming performance
What we don't
Too much lag and stutter for a 2021 phone
Cameras suffer from lack of detail in many situations
Macro camera is mostly useless
Speaker too quiet
15W charger in the box
