Tech Bump - MacBook eGPU Benchmarks & Guides
5 posts
Welcome! I will show you that you can, in fact, game on a Mac. Help share my videos so we can debunk this stereotype together. I run a MacBook Air 13-inch, Early 2014 paired with an EVGA GTX 1050 Ti. Its only possible thanks to an Akitio Thunder2 Expansion Box that is solely powered by an eFreesia 120W Power Supply Adapter - no bulky psu, messy wires, or metal cutting here! This setup allows me to run most games on Medium or High settings at 60 FPS.

Although I have to compromise on the settings, I like to think this is very playable even though my frames fluctuates between 24-70 FPS - just until the optimization patch comes out.

Give my video a chance to show you can run games on your mac at medium to high settings and above 60 FPS, no more using Intel HD Graphics to game.

Overwatch is totally possible on a Macbook, but I’m not using weak Intel HD Graphics here. ;]
