My name is Angelina Laurier also known as

Angelina “The tower” Laurier.. UConn’s 6’3 center.

BACKSTORY𐙚 Ever since I had the ability to run / walk I began basketball. With being in a family focused on basketball I gained the ability to play as-well. Practicing everyday, Gaining awards for my basketball achievements. Becoming McDonald’s All American player + joining team USA with my sister Aliyah Laurier becoming a dynamic duo in our high school years. Me and Aliyah also have a little sister “Auriela” who’s UConn’s cheerleader. Choosing a school was very difficult since a lot of schools wanted me too choose them, making a commitment to UConn was a scary but very thrilling experience I wouldn’t choose any other school.

Love Life 𐙚 I met Azzi Fudd during team USA + seeing her highlights during high school on my feed. So once i found out I was going to be playing with Americas “Top Shooter” I was nervous but also super excited because of her amazing skill. During team USA with all of us being together in hotels running around, having so much fun as a group it was great. Until we won and at the blink of an eye it was over.. until, I exchanged numbers with Azzi and asked her if she committed to a school yet. In my eyes this was fate but her saying she committed to UConn same timing as me I knew I made a great choice. A lot of fans already know we are together mainly because of assumption but OH WELL!!

My name is Kyomi Taylor, on the court ?

Kyomi “The Siren” Taylor 5’10 Uconn Shooting Guard

I’m not just a player — I’m a presence. I grew up dreaming about the ocean, wanting to become a marine biologist. But when my older brother faced a career-ending injury, I found my way to the court. My dad and brother were the ones who taught me how to play, how to push through, and how to keep going even when it hurts.

I used to think toughness meant silence. My dad’s mantra — “suck it up, there’s no reason to cry” — lived rent-free in my head. That changed my freshman year after a sprained ankle, when my team reminded me that strength can look like tears too. A year later, when I broke that same ankle, I let it all out — the pain, the frustration, the tears. I thought people would see me as weak. Instead, they showed up with love.

Sound is everything to me — in rhythm, in rituals, in recovery. Skullcandy saw something in my fire, and I saw myself in their sound. Whether it’s pre-game headphones or late-night playlists, I’m always tuned in, always charged up.

Now I walk into my senior year not just as a player, but as someone who knows her worth, her softness, and her strength.

Kyomi and Laila met through AAU circuits back in high school and reconnected during their college years Laila a guard for UCLA, Kyomi a Guard for UConn.

The two reconnected during their senior year after years on opposite coasts, a couple of shared tournaments, and a few follow-backs later, it just clicked. They kept it low-key for most of their college careers, but the bond was always there court-side looks, subtle Instagram tags, late-game tunnel hugs.

And then came the Final Four.

Midway through the third quarter Kyomi gets fouled hard. Hits the floor. As usual, UConn starts to move. But Laila? Laila’s already on the court. Not thinking. Just moving. Two hands one behind Kyomi’s back, the other on her wrist lifting her up like it’s instinct, like it’s love, like the buzzer doesn’t matter. That moment alone had the internet in a chokehold.

Fast-forward to the WNBA Draft. The room holds its breath.

“With the next pick… KYOMI TAYLOR from UConn!”

Her family erupts. her mother has tears in her eyes. But it’s that last hug before the stage that has the crowd watching. Kyomi turns to Laila. The hug lingers. Intimate. Familiar. Safe.

Later, when asked about Laila during a post-draft interview, Kyomi stumbles “She’s just a… very close friend.”

But her smile? Loud.

it's not just a group chat name, it's home. It's Yazzie, Issie, Angel, Lili, and me. We've laughed until we cried, held each other through the rough seasons, and celebrated every win like it was our first. Lili might rock the cheer uniform while we lace up sneakers, but make no mistake: she's our biggest cheerleader, and we're her forever champs. UConn wouldn't be UConn without them. They made it magic.

ALIYAH NICOLE is a multi-talented dancer, gymnast and cheerleader coming from Western Europe to the U.S to expand her talents out to the world and also to study abroad in the University Of Connecticut for her academics as an international student from the years 2019-2024. With this, she joined the dance/cheer team--climbing the ranks throughout the years and becoming captain in her senior year.

★LIFE

Aside from dance and cheering Aliyah also has a strong social media presence on Tiktok, Instagram and especially on youtube, equating to over two hundered thousand followers on Tiktok and 1.5 million subscribers on youtube where she documents fragments of her lifestyle, special moments throughout her life.

Due to her strong mark online she's curated many partnerships with popular brands such as Fenty Beauty, Adidas, Jimmy Choo and Pretty Little Thing.

★ THE DIVA.

One of her many nicknames equate to 'The Diva' named after Beyoncé's song due to her magnetic energy, sharp moves and bold styles while dancing as she could command a whole crowd or stage and leave a long-lasting mark on anyone who watched her.

Being compared to the likes of Britney Spears, Ciara and Normani, she ultimately made a name for herself in the dance world and in 2025 she gets signed to a black-owned dance agency named Pulse Talent in Dallas, Texas, the doors opening wider for opportunities in her career.
