After a truly shattering encounter with a self-proclaimed god and a multitude of near-death experiences, reaching Skyhold was something like a religious experience; or it would be, if Eren could make up his mind on whether or not he fully believed in everything the Chantry stood for. As it was, even he couldn’t help but be tempted to let go of a deep breath born of the exertion it took to scout to the top of a mountain and mutter the words “Maker,” entirely awed. The sight of a long-forgotten yet everlasting castle from the peak of a snowy mountain was magnificent made ethereal by the sunrise, which cast a hazy orange light on the inspiring scene. Was it the natural waking world, or some of that ancient elven magic seeping into his bones that made him all too eager to take up arms? To be the leader everyone- for some reason- believed he could be?

Inquisitor. The position fell into his arms rather unintentionally, really. Was he supposed to say no after everything they’d been through? There were those who doubted him, but none more especially than himself.

Even the discovery of their salvation couldn’t make people forget the destruction of Haven. The very thought still filled Eren with fire, a rage and desire for retribution that wouldn’t be satisfied until he tore their enemy apart and watched them bleed. Perhaps that was why Mikasa’s words unnerved him so. He found her in a still untouched part of the castle, looking forlorn amongst crumbling walls. It felt wrong. His eyes widened, struck silent by her words before he marched forward, standing in front of her with fierce confidence and a passion unmatched by any in Thedas. 

“Don’t talk like that!” Teeth grit, clenched fist emanating an unnatural green hue, he was as much an inspiration as he was volatile. It was no wonder why so many of those poised, secretive nobles in Orlais thought him too emotionally compromised to be a good leader. “You think I don’t want to just close my eyes and forget what happened, too? We can’t! I won’t ever let myself.” He caught her eyes, and held them. “We need to remember what happened so we can avenge them and destroy the piece of shit who did this. We can still win! Are you with me or not?”

I was a part of the snk rp world a while back playing Eren, but I doubt anyone remembers my rendition much. I’d reblog some of my old writing to prove I’m actually capable of forming words but lol I deleted the blog because no ragrats™. Basically all you need to know about me is I’m a slut for alternate verses, making Eren angry is easy and a lot of fun, and I like writing novels. Pls love me.
