I learned touch typing and it was agonizingly slow process because I can't do as much for my hands. Forcing my hands into that position was actually painful for me. I have a cognitive learning disability. I can still barely paint my nails, gripping stuff is hard. I don't use a pencil correctly. My teacher used to try to "correct" it with a pencil grip. She literally had no reason to do that. The way I grip pencils still hasn't changed and doesn't effect the way I write.

I don't arrange my hands that way and can still type at a good speed.

This is a subject that really interests me because I (28 years old) had computer classes in grade school where learning how to efficiently type was a big focus. As a result I have a very high WPM (words per minute) count and am an excellent touch typer.

However, I've heard that they started phasing out computer classes in a lot of schools because it's assumed that kids/teenagers already know how to use a computer in this day and age. But smartphones are more popular than computers now, and as result a lot of Gen Z/Gen Alpha kids are able to text very quickly but their typing skills aren't as good.

PSA for people who got into Barbie because of the movie:

Just because it was in the movie doesn't mean it's like, an actual fact about the line or Mattel.

Like, the idea that Earring Magic Ken was discontinued. Like. Yeah, he was, but that's how all doll releases work? He had a normal run for a doll. He wasn't cancelled early or pulled from shelves. They still make Ken dolls. "Discontinued" is really misleading. By that logic all the Barbies in Barbie land not being currently sold in stores are discontinued. Ponytail 1959 is discontinued. President Barbie is discontinued. Ect. Ect.

Also those tiktoks claiming to explain Barbie history and lore? A lot of those are spreading misinformation as well. Just be careful at taking info at face value.
