Based on this post where I was talking about a Rise/03 crossover and how the cartoon rules for each show are different. And as per the movie, the Rise turtles can swear.

Questions about the TMNT crew that we really wanna know

Do they have ribs? Or does their plastron serve as their ribcage, just like real turtles?

Are they warm-blooded? Cold-blooded?

How much are they turtle and how much are they man?

Rise makes the boys biologically related to Splinter, but what of the other TMNT iterations? Are they humanoid because of the mutagen, or are they humanoid because of Splinter’s DNA? (Admittedly, the answer for 03 is pretty easy, since Splinter was always a rat in that version and never human.)

Do they have any other turtle behaviors that we don’t get to see in the shows?

i think there's something very interesting about the fact that irl, turtles aren't very social or familial in any sense but the ninja turtles are incredibly social and love caring for others and this is arguably the greatest example of their humanity
