The Thanksgiving season seems to have flown by this year! Which makes sense, as the holiday was almost as early as it could be. But we'll have a long one in 2024. Until then, enjoy the winter holidays and subsequent celebrations, and stay thankful for all the good that you have. This blog will come back November 1st.
It feels like Black Friday isn't as much of a thing now, huh? Or rather, it's become a month-long event, which kind of defeats the point. It had already fallen from its mid-2010s peak of insanity, before the pandemic and internet shopping really started to sap its power.
Oh, well. I still consider it part of the Thanksgiving season, so this blog will stay active for the rest of the day, even if the jokes about crazy shoppers aren't quite as topical.
This was the moment Straw Hat Luffy became "Bucket Hat Luffy" at the 97th Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on November 23, 2023. A lot of balloons experienced tears and deflation because of windy conditions.

Many balloons were difficult to control during the parade because of windy conditions. However, after the Minion balloon crossed in front of the Macy's storefront, the balloon handlers completely lost control of the balloon. The balloon consequently flew away.
The city was on "Minion watch" for the rest of the day.
