my best tip for anyone who doesn’t know what to say when commenting on fic: pick something from the beginning. something that hooked you or stood out to you enough to make you keep reading.

most commenters will say something about the end or maybe the middle, because that’s the thing on their mind when they reach the comment box, so writers don’t always get to see what readers thought about their beginning!
