A #Clear #Sunny #Day at #Kadikoy (at Haydarpaşa railway station)

Won't you fly high, free #bird, yeah? It was just another #cloudy #day in #Istanbul, where the #sunlight dancing at the #sky. And I was passing by the #Bosporus with a small #ferry. It was 23rd of #November and I was mumping Lynrd Skynyrd’s Free bird. Here is my favorite part: “But if I stayed here with you, girl, / Things just couldn't be the same. / ‘Cause I'm as free as a bird now, / And this bird you'll never change. / And the bird you cannot change. All We Need is #Tea Yes, yes. We are all obsessed with tea. That's the fact. Indeed, there is a well-known term called #teaculture that explains the way tea is made and consumed, by the way, the people interact with tea, and by the aesthetics surrounding tea drinking. For many, tea is the primary tool of pleasant conversations and sharing good memories. Tea plays an essential role in some countries. It consumed commonly at social events, and many cultures have created elaborate formal ceremonies for these events. Just like, afternoon tea is a British custom with widespread appeal, here in #Istanbul we like to drink tea anytime. Tea with #breakfast, tea with #cookies, tea with #friends, tea with #teacher and so on. In short, we #love to drink tea. Would you like to drink a tea with me in Istanbul? A #Night at #Uskudar Üsküdar is just another historical place of #Istanbul, located at #Anatolian side. You can see many different monuments from the #Ottoman era. In this photo, you see one of the most popular #mosque in Üsküdar (Vâlide-i Cedîd Mosque), with the beautiful city lights on a clear Istanbul night. #Burning #Clouds I guess you already realized that I’m just another fond of #cloudporn - #skyporn I always like to watch the #dance of clouds and #Istanbul gives so many nice captures almost every day. #Humans of #Istanbul. Currently, Istanbul is hosting 16 million registered dwellers, and it's suggested that the number has already passed 20 million with the internal migration occurred in the recent years. In this photo, we see a group of #people at the bus station. As you may guess, public transportation is the primary survival kit to quench the need of movement of the huge amount of people. The #lonely tree in the town. I’ve captured this photo, yesterday in my beautiful hometown, #Kadıköy. The #tree, the #mosque and the #seagull alined harmoniously and the #sun were dancing with #clouds on a cloudy #sky. When I was talking with elder people, I always hear stories in forests of #Istanbul. Unfortunately, it’s almost impossible to see a forest or even a group of trees in the city centre. There are still some lovely #forests, but they’re a bit away from the centres. The lonely tree tells us a story that we need to keep remembering all the time: without a tree, we couldn’t survive. If you are researching #Istanbul, you have probably read or listen to the population of Istanbul is that how it is #cosmopolitan. The population diversifies into many groups according to nationality (#Turks, #Kurds, #Armenians, #Greeks, #Albanians), religion (#Muslims, #Christians, #Jews, and #non-religious), wealth and so on. I've captured this photo from one of my favorite places in the town, #MontagCafe. It was the weekend, and people were passing by to reach the place, where they want to be. Almost all of the walking people were in a hurry, while elder people, newspaper distributors or lottery guys were saluting the upcoming afternoon. And I was drinking my #americano. Ps. You may wonder the meaning of #Khalkedon, the marble text on the floor. It's the ancient name of #Kadıköy and means the town of the blind. This name has been given to the village because the others thought that the people who choose to live in this city instead of living in the Golden Horn peninsula, must be blind as they didn't see the apparent value of #GoldenHorn as a natural defensive harbor.
