how this works:
february’s theme is romance for valentines! and all of the prompts will be dialogue surrounding kisses bc... romance????❤️
example prompts: "i want you to kiss me. for real, this time.", "it’s not like i’ve thought about kissing you, or anything…", "well, if anybody were to kiss me… i would want that person to be you.", "are you sure you’re ready for this?" "i've been ready.", "don't speak, just... kiss me.", etc.
everyone will create a jily graphic/edit/art/fic based around the theme.
i’ll match everyone into pairs who will receive the same prompt.
you’ll have until the end of the month to post your creation.
how to enter:
reblog this post until january 31st - then i will message you with your partners name and a prompt for your creation. [i get asked a lot so just to clarify, you and your partner are creating different works, just with the same prompt, but are paired because it’s nice to have someone to bounce ideas off of and bc i think its nice to exchange things idk]
put what you plan to create in the tags when you reblog this post i.e. #writing, #edits
(optional) follow the jily challenge blog.
when posting:
tag your partner and #jilychallenge (no space) within the first five tags.
your caption should include:
JILY CHALLENGE | @yoururl vs @ yourpartner  theme + prompt

More scenes from that de-aged!Neal fic/(2x14) Manhattan-AU I never got around to finishing
Ok so I wrote scenes for a fic back in 2013, shortly after Manhattan (2x14) aired. I never posted it, so I figured I'd post snippets of it here on Tumblr so that they don't waste away. Bit of context: In the episode, Rumple offers to de-age Neal back to when he was 14. Naturally, since he's already met Henry and all, Neal refuses. Here, Rumple doesn't wait for him to refuse and does it anyway.
“Papa, please,” he pleads to the man who both is and isn’t his father.
"I can’t!”
“You coward! You promised! Don’t break our deal!”
“I have to.”
“Papa!” He can’t hang on anymore. As he lets go and falls into the swirling glow of the vortex, he watches his father’s face grow smaller and smaller until it disappears completely. And then-
Nothing.
Baelfire opened his eyes and found himself in an unfamiliar room.
"Bae?"
His Papa's voice, more vulnerable than he'd remembered it being. He looked to find his Papa standing there, in strange black clothes. Gone were the scales and the rotting teeth. Here was his Papa, in the flesh--literally. Human.
"Papa?" he tried to say, his voice hoarse. His father took a step forward. Bae looked down to find a cane in his father's hands.
"D-did it work? We're in the Land Without Magic?"
Something seemed to break in his father then, as he ran forward to embrace him.

I keep using my girlfriend with unusual work hours to get out of coworker interactions and happy hours and hanging out.
But now the company holiday party is upon us.
And I’ve been lying about the girlfriend.
I suddenly really empathise with the characters in Hallmark Christmas movies.
