Sirius Black was happy--relatively speaking. He had a job, he had friends, he was even starting to slowly rebuild his relationship with his brother.

During one of their bi-annual phonecalls, Regulus drops the bomb: Walburga and Orion Black heard about Sirius’ relationship with Remus Lupin. And now after 10 years of not speaking to Sirius they want to try; they want to reach out and try to form some semblance of a relationship with him. It was like a dream.

The only problem?

Sirius and Remus broke up two years ago.

after walburga cursed sirius’ hair off when he ran away, no spell could grow it back, and thus he had to grow it back naturally. at times it was wild, and harder to tame than others, but sirius couldn’t bring himself to trim it (unless, of course, remus was there, holding his hand the whole time)

What saddens me the most about Sirius being locked up in Azkaban is that he actually believed he deserved to be punished. He could have left much sooner, but Sirius sat there, in that horrible dark cell, being tortured everyday for 12 years because he thought he deserved it. He went hungry and cold and lonely and sad and he thought he deserved it.
