Our culture is based on the concept of individuality - that each person should only care about his own life, and it is improper for his community to interfere in his life and choices. However, we are quickly evolving into a culture that depends on the good opinion of a global community that has no idea who each of us are as persons. This community is now becoming responsible for interfering in our lives in a way that would be considered improper if they were here in person.
