Playedcrowd5610's Complete Guide to Danny Phantom Ghosts - Part 1: Ghost Levels/Types of Ghosts.

Disclaimer: This is how I write my ghosts. Most of these are based on headcanons that I have picked up on my own from watching the show, as well as real-world mythology and stories. They are based on my interpretation of how things work in this universe and are meant to help people better understand my writing and the way I do things.

The ghosts in the Danny Phantom universe are made up of three types: Echos, Soul Eaters, and Ecto entities. I will be going over each one, why they exist, what they look like, what the examples are, and what their abilities are.

Echos:

Echos are what would be called a level 1 ghost in the Danny Phantom world. They are a person that has died and become ghosts but don't have enough ectoplasm or energy to form a body. So they are merely a soul that is floating around in the air that no one without special abilities can see.

This type of ghost has the most real-world implications and is not the type of ghost shown throughout the Danny Phantom show. Amity Park is rich in ectoplasm and has multiple portals, natural and man-made. So all the ghosts that haunt the town or travel to the town have enough ectoplasm in the air to form a body. Ghosts that don't haunt Amity Park don't have that luxury.

which is where you would get the "traditional ghost" that you would see in ghost-hunting videos and books. The type of ghost most people's minds jump to when they hear the name. The ones that you can't really see or there is just a soul floating around. Sometimes, they can move things with enough effort.

These ghosts are often bonded to an object or a person and always need to be around them and can't leave their haunt without that person or item. They are harmless and mostly just float around and try and gather enough passive energy and emotions from what is around them to form a body.

To people like Danny and other ghosts, Echo looks like a floating core with a pale outline of whatever the person was before. also can't talk because they don't have enough ectoplasm to form vocal cords and can only communicate through emotions.

Their emotions flow from them and feed into the beings around them. All ghosts have secondary communication through emotions and can read the emotions of those around them naturally.

if they manage to get enough ectoplasm to start forming a body they turn into a soul eater, which brings me to my next point.

Soul Eaters:

Soul eaters are actually seen in the show. While they are not called soul eaters in the show, this is what I have personally interpreted them as. Our two example ghosts are johnny's Shadow and Spectra.

Soul eaters are in the level 2-3 range of ghosts. Most of the time, they come from Echos that have managed to gather enough ecto energy and now have a body. But the body is not complete this causes them to crave more and more energy to give themself a physical form.

These guys are creatures that look like shadows and blend in with the world around them. they have permanently sharp claws and teeth and use those to fight and try and gain more energy. They almost get more of a lust for energy and seem to not be fully in their right mind all the time, obsessed with at least keeping their form so they don't turn back into echos

Soul eaters can get energy/ectoplasm in two ways:

1) They can absorb ectoplasm or eat it from other ghosts that they might pray on or hang around. An example would be the ghost Shadow, who is permanently bonded to Johnny 13 and follows him around. This gives him enough passive energy to hang around a more powerful ghost so that he can keep a form in the mortal world. In return, he gives his servitude to Johnny and helps fight for him.

2) Absorbing energy from emotions: This example would be Spectra. Soul eaters, if they are more patient, can absorb energy through emotions. Any ghost can also rely on emotions to give them energy. But soul eaters pray on it. They will tend to be drawn to people with strong emotions; hateful and depressed ones are normally the best because they are the strongest. This can sometimes cause a person to feel drained of their emotions because all of their access energy is being eaten. Hence why they are called soul eaters.

Soul eaters are dangerous because they rely more on instinct than they do logic. Absorb and eat. Danny knows that they are just trying to get energy and want a body, so sometimes he can try and make a deal with them for help or just to get them out of there by offering up ectoplasm for them to eat.

Once soul eaters have enough energy to form a full body and can calm down from their aggressive side, they become ecto entities.

Ecto Entities:

These ghosts make up the majority of the show's cast and rouge gallery. They are ghosts who were either powerful enough in their obsession and gained enough energy in the ghost zone to have full bodies from the beginning or who have levelled up from either Echo or Soul Eater over time.

They are much more powerful and make up the rest of the ecto scale 4-10. All of these ghosts have the ability to touch objects and people and have solid physical forms when they travel to the human world.

They can have a number of different abilities based on their obsession, what level they are, and whether they have a fire or ice core. But all of these ghosts share a common set of powers: Invisibility, passive ectoplasm absorption, flight, and intangibility.

Ghosts such as Ember, Kitty, Johnny, Skulker and even Danny fall into this category. as well as blob ghosts, which would be closer to a level 4 and tend to be one step above soul eaters when it comes to forming a body. But can still touch things and have physical forms.

If you were to take away ectoplasm from one of these ghosts or they were injured or separated from it for a long period of time they will level down the scale going from Ecto Entity > Soul Eater > Echo. They would need to replenish their ectoplasmic energy over time to go level back up.

This is my rough explanation of how I see and describe ghosts in the Danny Phantom universe. I may eventually make a full YouTube video about it, but for now, I will post it here.

The Undertale Accessibility Project is looking for volunteer animators. The Undertale Accessibility Project is a volunteer based, fully voiced, interactive, and partially animated version of Undertale that will allow people with various disabilities to play the game. We are replacing the original 16-bit music with orchestral covers because the original style irritates some people with auditory disabilities. We are fully voice acting everything for people with reading disabilities. We have a control system that works through YouTube so that it only uses one finger. And some parts are even being animated.

As Damian entered the Manor, everyone was waiting for him. He could tell everyone was on edge.

"Talia was here." Bruce stated.

"Yes." Damian spoke, setting multiple bags down.

"Why?" Jason questioned.

"Mother came to visit and make sure Father was adequate to parent me." Damian explained.

"And if not?" Dick asked, after an eerie silence.

Damain huffed, "She said her door is open, if I choose to return. She will not force me; it is my choice. "

They all sighed in relief. They had already decided to go all out on patrol and keep every communication point open, in case they spotted her.

"So," Tim questioned, "What exactly did you two talk about?"

Bruce's phone beeped, gaining their attention.

He glared, "Why is there an $8000 charge to my card?"

Damian tossed it to him, "Mother and I ate dinner and went shopping. We were in public and there was no mention of the League. She was questioning my studies and social skills. Mother expresses her gratitude."

Bruce just groaned in response.

"Hey, Damian." Tim called, amused.

"What?" he asked, annoyed.

Tim turned his phone around and showed them a girl with Damian on the home surveillance, "Who's the chick?"

'I should have scrubbed the security footage before I left.'

Dick grabbed the phone out of his hands. There was no audio but he had seen Damian walk over and grab her hands.

'Awwww.'

Jason looked over as she left, right before Talia and Damian.

He looked up at him, "Brat, she's still alive, right?"

Damian rolled his eyes and picked up his bags, "Of course she is."

"Did you get confessed to?" his eldest brother asked, excitedly, as Damian walked up the steps.

"Why would my girlfriend need to confess?" the youngest retaliated.

"Girlfriend?" they all shouted.

"Since when?" Tim demanded.

Damian gave a far off look and shrugged, "A few years now."

Tim sputtered. Dick was freaking out about how he hadn't known while Jason was questioning the end of the world. Bruce looked at his son confused.

"So much for the World's Greatest Detective, Father." Damian declared, "Mother has taken a shine to her. We're having dinner here, tomorrow, at the manor."

"We as in who?" Bruce asked, already feeling low.

"My girlfriend, myself and Mother." Damian declared, "Mother wished to speak to her. You're invited to attend. Be on your best behavior; none of those fake facades from your gatherings, either. I'd ask them not to act like children, but what's the point?"

Damian continued up the stairs. He had bought some fabric for his girlfriend and he couldn't wait to show her the pictures.

The meaning behind this artwork (by me!) :

This drawing was inspired by the Mitski song Your Best American Girl. Specifically the line “Well, I’m not the moon I’m not even a star,”. Within the context of this artwork that line is very literal.

This is based in a reality where there are star-hybrid beings (shown as the fetuses) who are seen as special and treated as higher beings. The moon is viewed as a God in this reality and decides who is special or not.

The main figure is human and not a star-hybrid but they really want to be, which is why they are dressed as a star. The star hood and outfit is based off of jesters attire. The reason being, they are seen as a joke and will never be viewed as a “real” star by others.

The moon has a red string wrapped around its little fingers referencing the Chinese legend of the red thread. (Although in this case it means their destiny as a whole and not marriage/relationships). By this I mean that the moon has a greater plan for the main figure- they just aren’t aware of it yet.

Watch what happens to Germs when you wash your hands with Soap at microscopic level. 🔬 The Soap molecules surround germ cells and disrupt their cell walls, causing them to burst.

Germ cells are surrounded by a cell wall that protects them from the environment. This cell wall is made up of a layer of peptidoglycan, which is a polymer of amino acids and sugars. Soap molecules are made up of two parts: a hydrophobic (water-fearing) tail and a hydrophilic (water-loving) head. When soap is added to water, the hydrophobic tails group together and the hydrophilic heads face outward, forming micelles. These micelles can surround germ cells and the hydrophobic tails can then disrupt the cell walls, causing the cells to burst.

The hydrophobic tails of the soap molecules can disrupt the cell wall in two ways. First, they can bind to the peptidoglycan molecules and weaken the bonds between them. Second, they can create holes in the cell wall. Once the cell wall is disrupted, the germ cells lose their internal contents and die.

It is important to note that soap only works to kill germ cells that are surrounded by a cell wall. Germ cells that do not have a cell wall, such as viruses, are not affected by soap.

The size of the soap micelles is important. Micelles that are too small will not be able to surround the germ cells. Micelles that are too large will not be able to penetrate the cell walls.

The concentration of soap is also important. A higher concentration of soap will be more effective at killing germ cells.

The temperature of the water can also affect the effectiveness of soap. Soap is more effective at killing germ cells in warm water than in cold water.

I hope this post has helped you understand the importance of handwashing and why doctors always ask you to do it regularly. Washing your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds is one of the best ways to prevent the spread of germs and stay healthy. okay. So.

Serious Red Robin theory coming.

Tim wasn’t put in the Lazarus Pit. But. That doesn’t mean they didn’t use it on him. The pit’s healing properties have been shown to work in small portions. Like, the healing is proportional to the amount of lw used.

The cave with the pit isn’t exactly a sterile environment. So either the pit was needed or it was an attempt to put Tim off balance, a psychological weapon. Though the White Ghost’s reaction to the assumption seems to dispute that. If the pit’s healing is proportional to the amount used it makes sense that the psychological effects are to, along with the duration of those side effects.

Ra’s had serious reasons to use the pit on Tim, between the additional room for emotional manipulation and Tim’s life threatening injury which wasn’t immediately treated and was in fact exacerbated like, a lot… yeah. Tim lost a lot of blood. He lost was stabbed in the organ that filters blood: meaning all your blood passes through your spleen. He was bleeding out, he should have died, he dragged himself and another person to a car, drove said car back to the city, and got them both up to the penthouse. Recovering from that would take a long time, he shouldn’t have survived at all. But he healed quickly and well, it isn’t an issue, it happened and it was over. I know we as a fandom like to have fun with Tim’s missing spleen and what that means but… canon didn’t and looking back I feel like there was a lot pointing at the pit being used in a much more insidious was, not just in the logistics of Tim’s recovery.

Ra’s was insanely trusting of Tim. Not just in his ability to do what he wanted but in his belief that Tim would ultimately come around to his way of thinking. Now, I can obviously see that Tim was in a very vulnerable position and if Bruce hadn’t actually been alive Ra’s could definitely have succeeded. But it feels like more than that, especially with Tim’s ensuing behavior. A lot of his time with the league is glossed over or seen from Tam’s perspective, but Tim was acting different. It’s easy to attribute this to the objectively terrible situation and the year he’s had, but his behavior isn’t the same as it was at the beginning of the run either. And the difference in behavior fades. As Red Robin Tim is more ruthless and pragmatic, mostly due to necessity. Even stealing from a museum and fighting for it makes him incredibly uncomfortable. He still did it. But he was still acting like Tim, making jokes and doing his best to diffuse the situation and keep everyone alive. After the surgery his focus gets even more single minded. He barely puts up a fight about leading the league. Of course partly for Tam, and he tried to keep killing to a minimum but cmon. He was leading the league of ASSASSINS. There were assassinations happening. People died when he blew all the league bases and he barely registered that beyond thinking that the council of spiders probably made it out, implying part of him knew death was a possibility and he didn’t care. But he didn’t think about the moral implications of that in a way that was very reminiscent of Jason’s selective morality. If he had stopped to think about it he wouldn’t have done it, but he was focused to much on beating Ra’s, on not compromising, that the complexity of the situation didn’t sink in. The obvious effects of his actions, the possible deaths and injuries of anyone inside a league stronghold wasn’t acknowledged while the underlying message sent to his opponent was the only thing he could think about. Just like when Jason attacked Tim at Titans Tower to send a message to Bruce despite his hardline stance against hurting kids.

So. The League did use the pit on Tim, just a little. Maybe two tablespoons in the wound to accelerate recovery and weaken his morals a bit. It would certainly make a lot of sense. And the writer did change when Tim came back to Gotham so it’s entirely possible that it was meant to be touched on later but was discarded.

I’m super aro and obviously aromantic ppl can like romance in any regard but I am not one of them 😔 it gets to the point I straight up won’t read/watch something if that’s the focal point (but there are things I do like lol)

My biggest issue in some fandoms was the perception of platonic affections. My family is super affectionate and thus im the same in that regard. Some people both in fandoms and irl get confused or weirded out sometimes as a result like sorry I love my mom and cuddle her sometimes ig 😒

But yeah anything and everything I make, especially with little Mac and the other boxers are pretty much always going to be platonic. I don’t careeee if it’s ooc that I’m making them super mushy I’m living my best life through them
