Story: Born the only son to the infamous “Grim Reaper” he lived a life of Gothic luxury. The family embraced dark and macabre aesthetics, a world in which death was always at the forefront, and living was just the precursor. Armand received an excellent education in history, science, literature, and language. Though these never struck him as interesting. He preferred fashion, aesthetics, and the absolute macabre. One day after a fight with his father he ran away from home. He ran past their estate and into the poorer part of the city, where he had been forbidden to go. Thats when he saw the big top. The spectacular tent that glowed, colors he had never seen before exploded around the tent as cheers roared into the air. For once the boy was happy. It took everything in him to force him to leave the tent and go home, but every night he snuck out to that circus, and soon he was given the nickname of Cheshire because of the big grin that resided on his face every time he would watch rehearsals, performances, or even did side work. The ringmaster grew very fond of the boy, and took him under his wing after he was disowned from his family. Being a grim reaper worked to the ringmaster’s benefit as Cheshire became his assassin, operating out of the market he started under the circus. Cheshire inherited the circus, the wealth, and the black market. He rebranded it, turning it into a force to be reckoned with.

Story: Chaoxiang was 16 years old when he ran away home, leaving his brother Zixin with his abusive parents alone. It was hard for the first year, he was a Chinese kid in America with no support. He danced on the street for awhile.

One day there was a circus in town and he snuck in. There is where he fell in love with dancing acts filled with danger. Dancing so high up in the air, or surrounded by fire. The way that the two flipped, contorting their bodies.

That’s is exactly what he wanted to do. So he looked for the person in charge. He found the ringmaster and begged to let him work and learn well any of the acrobatics. The ringmaster took pitty on the child and let him travel with the ringmaster.

Xiang first learned aerial hoops, spinning on a hoop and dancing gracefully. Eventually learning how to do it with fire. Then he learned silks.

The only problem was that he had violent tendencies when he wasn’t dancing. One little thing set him off, but it wasn’t a problem.

The ringmaster utilized that part of him to.

Story: Ashe had a fairly easy home life growing up, gaining an instant best friend when he was 4 years old, as they grew they were quite protective over their sister, having not many friends themself. Eventually at 18 he moved from the family home in with his only long time friend, it was then when he started to practice make up and slight magic tricks in hopes of becoming a viral sensation online, however their anxiety wouldn't let them post anything. When they were 19 their parents died, they were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time when a local gang drove by the restaurant they were exiting. They had passed before the ambulance could even get there. After a court and custody battle with their estranged aunt they gained custody of their little sister ,now 15 . With another mouth to feed ashe's part time job could barely manage the bills resorting to him steal and pickpocket. One day while a traveling carnival was in town ashe tried their luck on the ring master, this being the first time ever they got caught. However the ring master saw the potential in the pair of siblings and gave them jobs in the show, and later on , a space in the market.

Story: Born a triplet and was sold off to a rich family at the age of 5 to become a servant. At first she was treated like their child, being obedient wasn’t something a child could do. The older she got the more isolated she became. Ainsley was forced to do manual labor and was tortured when even a spot on the floor wasn’t clean. They subjected her to shock treatments which caused her to have memory lapses and problems. She would make trades with fellow servants and cheat them out of food. Ainsley prayed everyday her brothers would find a way to save her. At the age of 14 she escaped (with the help of the Blackridge Family) and reunited with her brothers. She made money from Gambling, which she had an extreme talent for. Once the man from the Blackridge family approached her and Conrad, saying their debt had been paid and Boris was the Collateral she and Conrad were forced to move to San Francisco. She became very popular for being the Gambling queen and one of the best gamblers in the country, possibly even the world. Ainsley went to therapy to help with her trauma. She wished every day to see her brothers and prayed Boris was alive. After a few years she had given up hope in finding Boris, believing he had died. She continued to gamble, hoping to make enough money to pack up and find Conrad once more, and maybe find Boris’s grave.

Story: born the oldest of triplets. Conrad and his siblings were sold to different groups at the age of 5. He found himself at an institution which trained kids from young ages to become the perfect investigators and soliders. Conrad was the top of this institution, having an extreme wit, and impeccable agility, and near perfect observation and deduction skills gained him the nickname “Sherlock”. Though he enjoyed and thrived at the institution, he always felt guilty about being separated from his two siblings. He had heard rumors of where his siblings ended up and the idea of it made him sick to his stomach.

During an patrol in the field, he came across a member of the Blackridge family. The man slipped Conrad a business card, saying they could complete any assignment giving to them for a price. At first, he tried his best to ignore the offer, but gave in. Starting small and requesting information about where his siblings ended up and their condition. When he recieved the information he felt his heart drop, seeing photos and records of their conditions broke his heart. Without skipping a beat he assigned a mission to break all three of them out from where they were. No matter the price.

Once free and reunited with his siblings he took on smaller PI cases to help pay back the debt he owed to the Blackridges. But when a man from the family approached him and Ainsley, saying the debt was paid and Boris was the collateral, they were forced to move to San Francisco. Here Conrad (occasionally called Connie) began working a professional PI and even as an investigator/ consulting detective for Police forces in the area.

It wasn't until arriving into the outskirts of LA that the ring master had decided a different way to earn money to keep their clownlike passion afloat, in the early morning hours the circus was home to a market for things not quite legal . Through his charisma and actions the ring leader quickly made Lolly his second in command, the pair not caring who they sell too or what was sold , as long as there's a profit.

He eventually made his way into medical school until an incident with another student had pushed him off of the roof of the college building. Only a few broken bones and nothing life threatening. He doped out as soon as he was released from the hospital where Julian slink met him with a job offer. He accepted in an instant with the promise Julian will get revenge on the other student for him.
