Most veterans aren’t war criminals who killed innocent people in active duty, a lot of veterans are actually disadvantaged people who were preyed on by the military or only joined it to escape poverty, then were chewed up and spit out by the system only to come back home to face severe trauma, homelessness, and a lack of healthy resources for recovery. The military industrial complex is absolutely evil and needs to be criticized, but tumblr also needs to recognize that they purposefully manipulate and prey on lower class citizens constantly who come back home even worse off than they started. There many terrible people in the army but not every single one of them enlisted to deliberately commit disgusting crimes, a lot of them were just average people who thought they were just getting their one chance to escape the shitty hand they were unfairly dealt by the country. The people who need to be held accountable here are the ones who designed this system, the people in charge who just use this system to spill blood for money, as well as the people who glorify this and those who actively chose to become a part of it just to act out violent fantasies. A lot of vets come out of the military absolutely despising it because of what it did to them and others. Instead of turning this into an us vs them battle we need to work together to tear this whole system down.

Like I said I was headed for Kamino to be decommissioned because of my blindness, but I'm not sure if this Kino Der Toten is a better place to wind up either.
