Noressians, Frost Elves of the Prime

Centered in the far north-eastern corner of the world map, the theocratic kingdom of Nores is the native home to the Noressian elves. These frost elves, as many other cultures refer to them, are heavily adapted to the frigid environment of their homeland. Through deep study into Storm magics, they've altered themselves to complete comfort in the perpetual winter of Nores, at the unfortunate cost of severe discomfort in warmer areas of the world.
The alterations they've subjected themselves to, beyond allowing them an easier life in the cold, has tinted their skin a variety of light blues (or darker blues if their complexion would have been darker) and stripped their hair to shades of silver, white, and occasionally a very light lavender. This magical change to their anatomies is not a limit on what magics they're capable of studying, however it isn't uncommon to encounter a Noressian Storm magician versus any other elemental type.
The frost elves are notoriously androgynous, with most tells being from cultural traditions rather than anatomical tells. In Noressian tradition, the women are the warriors and as such keep their hair shorter as to avoid sudden blinds pots. Conversely, the men are the politicians or religious leaders who can kind of flaunt their easier life through longer, well maintained lockes. This being said, it is just tradition - there is nothing stopping a reversal of roles or societal outlier in any sense.
The theocracy of Nores is based around an at times zealous devotion to the Divine of Storms, Jerikas - an embodiment of winter and ice. Unfortunately with this almost blind devotion comes a risk to be led astray by leaders who claim to receive orders from the Divine while they chase their own goals. The most recent and drastic example of this was their march southward in search of the Essence of Light; thankfully thwarted by Linacaan and Leraboz forces combined.
The images above were generated using Picsart text-to-image AI and are referential placeholders for the time being. I do not claim ownership of them.

So yeah I couldn't keep doing grayscale, just went for full color instead. Still keeping an eye on my values though.

Artificial Intelligence and Creative Works
Man, AI is a touchy subject in relation to art and for reasons I fully understand. It's very frustrating to see that we have these engines capable of crazy, complicated processes, and we use them to create art rather than bettering the more mundane sides of everyday life. It really makes it harder for freelance and smaller creators to get a foothold in any kind of artistic industry - even creeping into places like photography where it makes even less sense. So, I feel like a shithead using it - but for the time being, it's the only way I can "afford" to have reference art pieces for my world building projects.

All this being said, I suppose I wanted to clarify my stance with AI art before beginning to display what I've generated. I don't prefer AI art by any stretch! Anything I post in relation to the Divine Realms is merely a placeholder until a time comes that I can commission traditional artists to help bring the world to life. It feels icky, and hypocritical, but even among my friends having these reference pieces has drastically increased a desire to pick around and learn more about the Divine Realms.
For transparency sake; I am using the Picsart AI engine for these creations, which, as far as I am aware, uses Art Station as its source with an opt in/out option for artists. I will clarify if there is AI used in any image and hope this explanation helps in keeping peace between the Divine Realms and Art Communities.

All 1296 individual mineral deposits for my conworld in a map and an itemized list :)
I'll be using both to reverse engineer the tectonics of my world, since if I know there is coal in an area, I know that at one point it was at or near the equator.

Also here is the basemap I am working off of, there are about 15 major regions, 51 regions, and 172 subregions, the subregions are labeled, and there are two maps below it showing the makeup of the major's and regions.
Feel free to ask for clarifications RE: Mineral definitions or Regional phenomena 😎👍

If I may offer up an AI'd version of myself as an NPC/Villain for your project- but also wishing you endless luck with this!

Currently worldbuilding for a loz dnd campaign set in botw/totk— I’m having to do a lot of filling in for lore ;-;
I’m also changing a bunch of stuff to make it a unique experience, since one of my players has played both games!
Naturally this means adding cool bosses, enemies and beloved characters, as well as changing up enemy and item placements so I don’t have to look at guides the whole time
I’m also trying to figure out how I want to fit the party into the story, I don’t want link to have all the fun after all! Maybe I’ll do an alternate time with multiple heroes? I’m planning on a bit of pre calamity and then doing most of it post calamity, with their choice of doing different characters or the same character surviving through varied means.
It’s gonna be a blast— at least I hope so :D
