regarding coming out

all around the year I've seen posts or heard about people coming out to their abusive parents and here's our take on it:

DO NOT COME OUT TO SOMEONE ABUSIVE/THAT YOU KNOW IS HIGHLY LGBTPHOBIC

coming out is something important and incredibly powerful, also a way to show to the world that we exist and we're there no matter what. That being said if you are stuck with people or in a situation where you need to interact with people ( ex: your job that keeps you out of poverty that you have no way out currently ) and you know some might be closed minded, please, PLEASE do not come out for your own safety and peace of mind. Same with abusive parents even if they end up being open that is another thing they can use against you later on. Yeah maybe they'll be okay with you but they might use it as another way of controlling you. Please, consider your safety and well-being first I beg you. - Emre and Robin

( hoping my tone doesn't come off condescending ) Knowing that Bluey depict a main character that's a girl with a blue color scheme, has rather positive message about neurodivergent coded character ( the episode with Jack and Rusty come as an example ), show a man quitting his job for his newly wife instead of just taking her from everything she's known, a seemingly solo future parent, mentions a character having two moms and has Bandit being actively here for his wife and children other than through financial means, I'm actually surprised there hasn't been any hate against it coming from conservatives.

Us when our mother was telling us that everyone has phases where they're completely depressed. I am sorry but I don't think everyone goes from being the happiest of the world to being straight up depressed to the level of suicidal ideation in an HOUR . And i genuinely hope they dont. Dear Lord

While I'd like to think that I was raised to be open minded ( by my mother at least ). I would be lying if I said that having my grandfather get his two legs amputated didn't completely alter my vision of the world.

I didn't see him a lot because he was my step moms father but I still got to experience how inaccessible even his own house was to him. As well as hearing my stepmom complaining about how hard it was to help him and my grandmother.

I would be lying if I said that meeting and being close to people with both mental and physical disability didn't completely alter how I envisioned things and the world.

Honestly I've found that my friends who are not physically disabled themselves are way more understanding of my progressing disability when they have close family members or family friends with disabilities or ones who require mobility aids. Literally the friend that volunteered to push my wheelchair (I was not about to knock into everything while figuring out how to navigate) was like "this reminds me of when I'd push my grandma around places" and they were way nicer about me needing assistance and asking about what's been going on with me medically.

An ex-friend of mine used to call me “girl” sometimes and I expressed my discomfort over it he just claimed he did it with everyone. Which is true but I still didn't like it ( he also was still misgendering me months after we met because my name was confusing him or shit )

i think its true that you can use dude, bro, queen, babe- literally any nickname in a gender neutral way, and its also true that if somebody tells you to cut that out because they dont like it then you stop. and i think if you go on to insist 'im not misgendering you i mean it in a gender neutral way' then you get the glock. simples!
