“I thought I told you to kill him/her?”

“I don’t know why I stay with you?”

“Are you fucking stupid?!”

“Didn’t I tell you to take care of them?”

“Don’t worry. I’ll take care of it.”

“God! You couldn’t have picked a skinnier person to kill?”

“I’ll get the mop!”

“I’ll get the saw.”

“You know the drill.”

“You lure them in and I’ll knock ‘em out.”

“We kill people and then we fuck. It’s our thing.”

“I lure them in and you knock ‘em out.”

“Do I have blood on my face?”

“I thought you said you were going to clean up the mess?!”

“This is your mess, you clean it up.”

“Let’s keep him/her for a few days.”

“The cops are coming.”

“They’re going to find out it’s us eventually.”

“We’re like Bonnie and Clyde.”

“It’s not bad! You’re gonna make it! You just gotta stay awake.”

“Yeah. It was a good time.”

Mao chuckles lightly at Aiko’s answer, followed by a dismissive gesture at the clear awkwardness of the situation. She adjusts her chair closer to the other woman, enough to have her reflected in the dark rims of her large sunglasses. “Don’t worry, doctor. Like I said, your doubts are more than understandable. And I won’t ask anything too worrisome in such an environment, you can be sure.” The lawyer smiles, a polite, pleasant grim in red lipstick, to go with her playful, polite voice. It is as if this whole situation with Overhaul has not bothered her at all. 

“You’re aware how there has been some judicial issues lately in our neighborhood? Namely, investigations of kidnapping, murder, information theft and, most of all, a few conflicts with our heroes.” She stresses the word with polite sarcasm, long, red fingernails brought together in a thoughtful posture. She stares right at the doctor through the lenses, over the tips of her touching fingers. “You seem to be involved in a lot of it. Your name has been whispered around in the our circles for a while now, doctor, if you understand my fears?”

“As a member of our dear girl scout group, I felt like I had to step in. If, at least, to warn you. Your actions are bringing you into an unwanted spotlight, Iwasaki-san. Though you may be pleased to know a few issues on your name have been properly erased of any evidence.”

"Iwasaki-san, is it?" The woman smiles politely, almost half of her face hidden by big sunglasses. She waves at the doctor's direction, every bit of her a carefully constructed friendly demeanor. "Could I talk to you for a bit? It's about work." She stresses the word *work*, leaving clear the implications of what work she means. [It's Rina lol I said I would send you this]

Aiko was on her lunch break, having just grabbed a sandwich at the hospital’s cafeteria and heading back to her office when the woman caught her by surprise. She slowed to a stop for a moment, hearing what the woman had to say. The emphasis on ‘work’ worried her - it was apparent that this had nothing to do with her hospital job.

“I’m on my way to my office now, we won’t be overheard there.”
