Finally, somebody who gets it. 

I’ve spent an embarrassing amount of time watching this show and can say with absolute 100% certainty that Francis was not written as bi, and the relationship between him and James was never meant to be anything but friendship. 

While we’re at it, James isn’t actually exploring his gender identity/sexuality when he’s playing around with that dress. He holds the dress up against himself, has a look in the mirror, chuckles, takes a swig of wine straight out of the bottle, puts the dress back in the box, discovers he has scurvy and then chooses probably the most masculine costume out of any of the men.

People are welcome to create whatever fanfiction and fanart they like, but that doesn’t make it canon. There’s a section of this fandom that seems to think that their headcanons are facts and that’s really confusing.

What went on in ther terror fandom last night? Where’s the bi-erasure and Sophia rejecting Francis thing coming from? I’m so confused

Well basically this is what happened, which, imo, isn't a headcanon but just straight up a fuck you to bisexuality and a woman's legitimate choice of whether or not to marry someone. Think of this what you will but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ imo this is just not done

“Comics and D&D and shit have in fact always been kinda cool” - no they haven’t, OP. People who like those things were pretty much universally mocked until relatively recently. When I was at school (I graduated in 2010) the kids who liked that kind of stuff were outcasts. More recently, in my previous job which I left last year, one day my coworkers (who were all women) were complaining about their partners wanting to watch documentaries about space. If those women think SPACE is for losers, imagine what they must think about comics and D&D.

To be honest, it’s a bit cruel to claim that “geeky” men who have been bullied and rejected throughout their lives must have done something to deserve it.

The funniest part about unlikeable geek men is they really are fully convinced people don’t like them because of their hobbies. They cannot even begin to process the idea that comics and D&D and shit have in fact always been kinda cool and their personslities might just be repulsive. The combined unwavering ego/persecution complex is... unreal.

Personal rant time

So my state had completely eradicated COVID-19, then two 19-year-old girls decided to go to Melbourne (which is screwed atm) and came back home without quarantining themselves. They've both tested positive, and they visited about fifteen different restaurants and shops while contagious. So now we almost definitely have community transmission again.

Anyway they live in a really rough area. I went there for a few days for some work training, and one day we weren’t allowed to go downstairs to the bathrooms alone because there was a violent felon wandering around near our building. 

The girls’ full names and faces have been released to the public, so hopefully the good people of Logan will take the law into their own hands.
