Simon Fairchild's "I think he was homeschooled" line is so much funnier when you think about the fact that this man is solidly over 400. Compulsory education didn't even exist back then. This wasn't some casual throwaway statement he gave out on a whim. Our feral grandpa had to learn the entire modern institution of schooling and the attitudes around it to deliver that burn.
