What if I made myself cry harder by making a fic about the absolute trainwreck of events that happened in my Clangen playthrough, what then?

Figured it may be good practice to help me write WC stuff so, srry if it's a bit messy.

(Note: Medicine Cats in this fic are called "Menders" because that's how I call my Medicine Cats in my own Fan-Clans! Saying this just to avoid any confusion.)

When the patrol first found the loner, he was in pretty bad shape; his cream spotted coat was messy with dirt and blood, muted green eyes tired like he hasn't slept in days but still alert for any sudden dangers.

Of course, their first instinct was to help him. They allowed him to stay in camp and be treated by the Menders until he recovered fully, the loner begrudgingly agreed.

When the tom said his name was Snapdragon, the cats were speechless.

Snapdragon? On SnapdragonClan territory? Surely, this must be StarClan's will!

They all gave the tom a warm welcome to the clan, the attention from the clan cats seemed to overwhelm him at first, but after some time he gets used to it— basking on it, even.

Maybe that's what caused him to want to stay in SnapdragonClan after he recovered, which the clan celebrated.

But one cat in particular seemed to be drawn to him more than the others.

Six Grains of Gravel—or Six for short; they know it can be a mouthful at times, but doesn't have the heart to change it as its the one thing they remember about their birth mother—Was curious about Snapdragon, everyone talked about him like he was important and it caused the young warrior to want to know him better.

They both bonded over being former loners, like many others in SnapdragonClan and how welcoming they're to cats like both of them. Six did most of the talking, but the gray jack noted how the other was a good listener, some may call him the 'gloomy' type but for Six, he was cool and mysterious.

Over the next few moons they got to know eachother better, Six and Snapdragon were paired often in patrols and they always complimented his hunting prowess.

He seemed to like that a bit too much, but Six didn't think too hard about it at the time.

Then one night, during a mightnight patrol around the borders of the territory, he starts saying all this things about them he hasn't said before; how pretty their coat was and fabulous hunter they were, how their silver eyes shine like stars— it made their face heat up under their fur at such kind words.

They got lost on those sage eyes of his, reflecting the moonlight handsomely.

All is a blur after that.

Six Grains of Gravel was pregnant.

Of course, the first cat to be told about it was Snapdragon himself— it made sense as the father of the kits, after all!

They confused his fearful, shocked expression as a good reaction when they talked about telling their friends about it.

He couldn't stop them even if he wanted to, all he asked for was to not mention he was the father, 'at least until they are born, of course!' He told them, watching from afar as Six announced their kits to the entirety of the clan.

What Six didn't know at the time was that, in Snapdragon's mind, he thought everything was getting out of paw real fast; all he wanted was to live a comfortable life and be showered in praise... Not this!

He needed to leave.

Six had moved into the nursery by Weston's demand, as they were starting to get a bit bigger and visibly slowing down. Not matter how much Six insisted they were fine, the Mender would not falter— He has taken an initiative role after the last Head Mender passed away recently and he was doing a great job so far, so they couldn't help but to comply to his demand.

Being the only resident inside the nursery felt daunting, but Darktooth checks on them pretty much everyday to make sure they're comfortable, the newly made Mender was nice company along with the occasional apprentice or warrior that came along to give them a piece of prey.

All was going great, Six was still anxious about having a family, but it was also exciting! Maybe they can even ask Snapdragon if he wanted to be mates-

Then one day, their world came crashing down.

It started when they noticed a patrol practically sprinting into camp; Curly and Rustleram, they set out this morning to hunt as usual but, Six noticed how a certain cat they got paired with wasn't with them. Conveniently, Houndstar was in the middle of camp talking with some of the senior warriors, noticing the disheveled patrol coming in.

"What happened?" She asked, before she too noticed the absence of the third member of the patrol, "Where's Snapdragon?"

"Twolegs, they took him away!" Rustleram spoke out, she looked on the verge of passing out. Many cats gathered around due to the commotion.

"What?!" Houndstar turns to her deputy in an instant, "Brakenroar, set up a searching party, check every nook and cranny of the Twoleg place a-"

"You don't understand!" Curly exhaled quickly, still catching her breath, "He... He willingly ran up to them, he- he didn't even put on a fight when they grabbed him and carried him inside their monster!"

The camp went quiet.

"Are you absolutely sure?" Brakenroar asks carefully, hoping to have misheard her.

Rustleram takes over so her mate can catch a break from talking, "He was babbling about having to much responsibilities before that, at first we didn't think any of it but... It's like he wanted to get caught..."

Six tuned down the rest of arguments the clan was sputtering out in that moment.

They should've known something was wrong when Snapdragon started avoiding them. They should've noticed how odd it was he hasn't visited them in the nursery to check on them.

They should've question why he wanted to hide the fact they were carrying his kits in the first place!

...

They hope for a small litter.

Inkythistle was worried.

Six just had their litter, just a singular healthy kit, Darktooth explained... But as soon as they did, they wanted to be left alone. They even hissed at their own leader to get out of the nursery when he wanted to congratulate them.

Weston correlates it to a hormone change after birth, but Inkythistle couldn't help but feel there was more to it. The entire clan already had a suspicion as to why Six seemed to shut everyone down (if the comments Weston made were anything to go by), but she wanted to find out for herself.

The red and black tabby she-cat enters the nursery with confidence and Six immediately hisses at the intruder, but calms down once they notice it's just her, laying down on the soft moss bedding— The two have become good friends ever since Six first joined SnapdragonClan, they were close in age so Houndstar assigned them to hunts together to teach Six the basics, everything else came naturally.

She stared down at the small ball of brown fur with familiar spotted patterns, noticing how the kit was practically tumbling down the moss nest, she carefully places him up to Six's belly to suckle.

Six didn't even react.

The air was awkward, so Inkythistle tried to start a conversation, "Have you named him yet?"

"No." Six said bluntly, so unlike themselves— Their voice carried anger without even sounding angry and that scared her.

Inkythistle goes to lay next to her, neatly placing her paws down herself, "what's on your mind?"

Silence.

"you know you can tell me anything, right?" She says sweetly, like honey dripping from a beehive.

"I'm- I just... I don't know what I did wrong!" They snapped suddenly in a tone that sounded just a bit inappropriately loud, "Sooner or later the whole clan will find out who the father is, what if they blame me for making Snapdragon run away!?"

"I guarantee you no one here will blame you for that."

"B-but everyone says he was meant to be important or something like that-"

"He wasn't the cat we thought he was— If he really was destined for greatness and blessed by StarClan... He wouldn't had run off at the prospect of being a father." She places a paw gently to their chin to lift their head up, "You deserve better."

Six didn't see so convinced, "But I can't do this alone..." They whine.

"I've been living in SnapdragonClan since it was founded by Houndstar, I was merely a kit at the time, and if there's one thing this clan values most... Is family." Her big, beautiful bronze eyes shine brilliantly, even in the darkest of the den, "I mean it when I say no one will hold it against you or think different of you for something that was out of your control."

"You think so...?"

"I know so." Inkythistle smiles at them, that confident smile that meant everything was gonna be alright, "So, make sure this kit grows up with at least one of his parents still around— I can help too if you want, I have experience raising my own little ones!"

On cue, the tiny newborn kitten meows, their silver eyes gazing at his helpless form.

...They regretted pushing their kit away at all, sobbing as they nuzzle him close. They thought they were all alone on this and didn't realize they don't need a deadbeat tom how clearly didn't care about them as an individual, when they have cats who actually love and care for them right here.

"Now... have you thought of a name yet?" Inkythistle asked once more, "He can't be 'Unnamedkit' forever."

Six stared at their kit and gave a tiny smile, "Sorrelkit."

Best thing just happened.

So I found this browser version of Clangen that was somewhat in par with the newer versions (it was ver 0.8.0 I believe, but sadly it was taken down bc it was very glitchy) and I wanted to try it out.

I made one of the warrior apprentices a healer apprentice bc the main one turned out to be kinda old and was scared something would happen to them.

Then I skip to moon ONE and-

Not only was he made a full healer earlier than expected, he turned out to be a VENGEFUL cat;

Moon one and he's already bitter towards everyone, I love him for that.

The area that the clans are situated in is HEAVILY inspired (for now) by Cameron Highlands in my own country (Malaysia)! :D
