What was your wol(oc)'s childhood like?

For Wes, it's a toss-up between his magic and his senses. Not a soul compares to his teacher's magic, and his senses are unparalleled.

Ying's pride and joy is without a doubt her martial arts, developed and honed to her exact specifications, and rapidly evolving with every fight.

What is something your wol(oc) prides themself in?

Wes’ are alright, he’s probably warming/cooling himself magically, so he’s got that going for him. Brings a sense of safety because he’s watching the person’s back.

Ying is very enthusiastic, she will bear hug with both arms and her tail, as tight as you’re comfy with, overall very solid.

Does your WoL give good hugs?

Wes believes it to be a natural part of life, a defining aspect that comes for all. There're definitely those it comes for far too soon, and far too late, but it is not a chain to aim to free yourself from.

Ying's much the same in theory, but she hasn't lost people like Wes has, so she'll probably have a tougher time accepting it when she does inevitably start losing people.

How does your wol(oc) feel about death?

Freakishly good, with or without magic, as are his other senses. In addition to just having a good set of eyes, the years of experience hunting, tracking, keeping watch, picking out little details from a distance, all built up skills to better optimize and use his vision. Thancred and Lapis can’t really hide from him because of it.

How is your wol(oc)'s eyesight?

All the scions are family to him, as well as most of the people he's spent a lot of time around. The twins in particular, though, are probably the closest, Wes has just actually referred to them as his little siblings offhandedly.

With or without Azem, the blessing of light, the Echo, or any other thing Wes was born with or granted, if he isn’t dead, he’s seeking adventure and freedom. The only period of time he was stuck in a village was a living hell for all involved, and once he joined the nomads, he never wanted to go back.

Who would you WOL be if they hadn’t chosen a life of adventure and/or weren’t a shard of Asem? Would they still explore? Would they settle down in a quiet town? What if they were only a shard of Asem but lacked the blessing of light?

he isn't. Wes is aroace, and has known that for a while.

While I'm at it, Ying and Lenmis are bi, Luz is achillean, Lapis and Sileas are sapphic, Ryo is straight but in the Larry Butz way where he's actually tried to find men attractive, but couldn't. Basi's an enigma, everyone just assumes aroace because she's never shown or expressed in anyone romantically or sexually.

How does your WOL plan for travel? Do they leave the arrangements up to Tataru? Do they prefer to work on their own? Do they plan ahead or leave everything to the last minute? Do they ever travel on a whim and wander with the wind blows?

Honey hard candy called 'topaz drops', it's the only sweet his mother knows how to make, and doing so was one of Lenmis' ways of expressing affection, so he has a bunch of good memories with it. Wes has a huge sweet tooth, though, he'll enjoy a bunch of desserts, he just has an extra soft spot or the candies.

Wes usually just shortens people's names ('Estie' and 'Alphie') but otherwise just uses their names. Actual nicknames are more Ying's speed, I'm just bad at thinking of them and can't really list them off the top of my head.
